Amazing Views, Great location
Nothing
We always receive exemplary service here from staff. Front desk check in was a breeze, the ambassador upgrade was handled perfectly well as we had booked a balcony room on purpose so appreciate them waiting to speak to us before the upgrade. Alex went above and beyond to take care of us and greatly appreciate her!
Valet and doormen are friendly, always greeting and saying enjoy/have a nice day. I wish we could clone her and be the only front desk agent at every property!! While packing up, they asked if there was anything else they could help with.
Aidan the bellman was super professional and courteous.
Check out was a little challenging as they were not able to correctly apply my ambassador free weekend night. Took a few tries and about 10 minutes to get it right.
While not concierge's fault directly, I should have asked for the local benefits at the time of check in. I wasn't able to get the ben and jerry's coupons on time to use before we left but Shujaat did make it up to us by providing 2 drink tickets that we were able to use before leaving. Appreciate his ability to ensure we were accommodated.
We had a wonderful experience at the InterContinental at the Wharf. We had a beautiful room with a view. We had our choice of several breakfast offerings. All were delicious. Service at the restaurant was friendly and efficient. Front desk staff was welcoming. The concierge, Shujatt Khan, was a huge part of making our trip a great one as he arranged for cars and difficult to get reservations at great restaurants. I had the pleasure of working with him before our arrival and during our stay. I would recommend the hotel highly and hope to visit again.
Such a lovely hotel! Modern, chic, yet with a warm atmosphere. The service was impeccable - the staff was so welcoming, helpful, and amenable. The rooms and bathroom were great with unique views off the enclosed balcony of both the river and the capitol, and the rooftop pool with views of the Potomac was fabulous. Staying on the wharf really makes a trip to DC a nice combination of waterside vacation and historical city vacation. Fantastic hotel manager and concierge staff, too!
Everything is good except the breakfast that is too expensive comparing the quality.
Breakfast is not that great but just too expensive
The hotel personnel was really good ST the concierge was fabulous he always greeted us by. Our name was very eager to help us with everything and anything we needed did not lose patience with us and alwayshad a smile on his face, also Aidan doorman was absolutely wonderful as well always had a smile. Answer our questions about restaurants, and told us about things to do in the area. He was very, very, sweet.
Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. The staff at the hotel is really nice and friendly. They are always trying to make your stay more enjoyable.
Right at the Wharf next to many restaurant options
Difficult for share rides to find it
I just wanted to send a huge thank you for the truly exceptional job the hotels team did with our conference.
Everything from the planning to the execution felt seamless, and it was clear how much care and attention went into every detail. Your staff was not only professional but genuinely warm and accommodating, which made such a difference for both our team and our guests.
We received so many positive comments, and it’s all thanks to the incredible experience you created. It’s not easy to make an event feel both polished and welcoming, but they did exactly that.
We’re so grateful and would absolutely love the opportunity to work together again.
A special shout out to Addison Teng, Tito, Marcelo, Jacky Diaz & Liana Acha and the entire Banquets Team, I truly appreciated their hard work and support.
Stayed one night. Great location. Room was nice, especially the bathroom. Beds were comfortable but not luxury level. Hotel was clean and had a nice atmosphere. However, I would likely not stay at this hotel again or any IHG property in the future. This was our first stay with this brand (frequently stay at Marriott and Hilton brands) and this one left me with a negative overall experience. Mostly due to value. For the price of the stay to not have complementary bottled water provided in room was disappointing. We were disturbed by room service at 10am, asking when we were checking out (standard checkout is 11am). Felt rushed to checkout. One of the cabinet doors in our room was broken and fell on my foot. The hotel adds a $35 fee for items that other hotel brands add for free (wifi etc). Overnight parking is $75. Value is very poor. I would place a stay here valued at $250-$350 per night (our rate was $600ish). If you can find a low rate and expectations are modest, maybe the IC would be a solid pick. Otherwise other options in the area would likely be better.
This is a beautiful hotel where the staff actually care about you and your experience. The rooms are luxurious, clean and spacious.
location
breakfast service is too slow
Valet brought me my vehicle smoking a cigarette and he dropped cigarette ash in my car. Contacted management and they never contacted me back.
We had a wonderful family brunch while visiting the cherry blossoms! Very attentive staff and delicious food! Easy to access the Warf to walk right from the restaurant.
Amazing people! They were soooo nice.
