The breakfast was really good and filling. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The evening meal was really good as well, staff very helpful.
Warm welcome, comfortable room and excellent breakfast
Good location, ideal for a one night stop over. Friendly staff.
Comfy bed.
Tasty breakfast.
Great price.
En suite could do with an update.
Rooms decent, friendly staff, breakfast very nice and in a nice location. Bargain of a price to stay can’t fault it at all.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Kostenfreier Parkplatz hinter dem Haus.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein, kaum Platz, um Koffer unterzubringen.
Very friendly and helpful staff, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious
We had a room on the top floor that was adequate but quite small and pokey. Fine for the one night we spent there
Staff were lovely & breakfast was fantastic
Room was basic, but comfortable bed & lovely big bathroom & shower
Toiletries provided
No hairdryer in the room
dozens of flies in the bathroom which I had to get rid of as the window was open.
It was very hot weather & I had to sleep with the window closed after getting rid of the fruit flies
Full breakfast on on offer but not taken , service was very prompt and very friendly staff , very helpful.
Bed was little short. Comfortable tho.
the breakfast is good value, the rooms were a god size, really clean and comfortable beds
Could have been more variety with breakfast selection.
Accueil très chaleureux !
Chambre mignonne
Restaurant dans l’hôtel
Bruyant. Chambre qui donnait sur la route.
The evening meal we had whilst on a one night stopover was excellent as was the full English breakfast the following morning. Large shower in our room was great.
The only downside to our stay was that the bar was open till 04.30am as Scotland were playing their first World Cup match and we heard the cheers when they scored! So no complaints for that.
Basic, but clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Attic room was small but fine for a one night stop over. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly, no extra charge. Adequate car parking for the number of bedrooms at the hotel. Bar meals were served in the evening, although we didn't try any.
We were right up in the attic, which wasn't a problem for us, but several flights of stairs may be an issue for less able guests.
A little noise from the public bar overnight, but on check in staff had apologised that the bar would be open until 4am due to the Scotland football match, we had already assumed this and it wasn't an issue for us
Friendly staff. Good food in the pub and excellent breakfast. They Serve food until 8.30pm. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room.
Comfy bed.
Room 4 small room with no window.
We were exhibiting at Border Union Championship Dog Show and needed an overnight stay for two of us and two Rough Collie dogs. The Newcastle Arms did the job. Robert was very friendly and helpful. They did us a take out breakfast of bacon rolls because we had an early start. We used the Electric Car charging. The room was very clean. The restaurant was really good, we ate with friends who were also at the show. All round, thank you.
The bedroom was a bit small, but the dogs adjusted, we adjusted and everybody got a night's sleep (which was the whole reason for the stay).
Easy to find,
No dislikes, it all worked for me
We liked everything..the dinner we had was really good. The breakfast was great. The owners were very friendly. We had a lovely stay.
