A wonderful place to stay.
Pros:

It was my wife’s birthday. We were greeted with a hand written card and some chocolates. It was very much appreciated it. Breakfast was very good too. Great coffee.

Best of the Best!
Pros:

The location couldn’t be better. Situated on the waterfront, it’s an easy walk to Salamanca Place, the CBD, Constitution Dock and many of Hobart’s best attractions. There is also an outstanding choice of restaurants both within the hotel and just outside the front door, making it the perfect base for food lovers.

The staff deserve special recognition. Every member of the team we encountered was genuinely friendly, professional and service-oriented. Nothing was too much trouble, and their local knowledge and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable.

Considering the quality of the rooms, the unbeatable location, the exceptional service and the overall experience, MACq 01 represents outstanding value for money.

MacQ01 setting the standard making my stay highly memorable

From the moment I arrived at MACq01, the experience felt genuinely thoughtful

Adrian welcomed me warmly and had taken the time to read the brief note I included with my booking, something I honestly hadn’t expected anyone to notice. That small detail immediately reflected the level of care behind the hotel’s service.
The atmosphere, room and dining spaces were all exceptional, and every team member I encountered was friendly, professional and welcoming

Indira also looked after me during one of my evenings at the restaurant and was outstanding. Her service was attentive, having a severe food allergy I’m typically hesitant when dining out, but the whole time I was made to feel warmly welcomed without ever feeling intrusive. I was given time to enjoy each course, the check-ins were perfectly timed, and the conversations felt natural rather than forced

Having stayed and dined at several hotels and restaurants across Tasmania, the service provided by Indira, Adrian and the wider MACq 01 team was among the best hospitality I experienced throughout the trip

This was my first visit to Hobart, and after staying elsewhere earlier in my trip, MACq01 stood well above the rest. The combination of genuine hospitality, thoughtful details and consistently excellent service made the stay memorable.
When I return to Hobart, MACq01 will be my first choice

Beautiful - pay the extra for water view and light
Pros:

Beautiful hotel but pay for the water side. Rooms on other side are dark and lighting isn’t great… if you open the curtains you have the uni students etc looking straight in.

Wedding Anniversary
Pros:

We have just had a five nights stay and have come away feeling so relaxed. The service is exceptional and the quality and cleanliness of the hotel makes it so enjoyable. The staff are friendly and professional nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure you have a enjoyable time.

Great stay!
Pros:

Amazing staff and beautiful facilities.

Cons:

The story tours were not advertised or explained accurately. The one I chose (gin tales) was not included but only told this when booking. This should be explained on check in.
