MACq 01 is genuinely one of my favourite hotels in the world. I loved absolutely everything about our stay — the beautiful design, the waterfront location, the atmosphere, the rooms, the wonderful staff and the attention to detail throughout. It feels luxurious without being pretentious, and has such a strong sense of place and connection to Tasmania. Every detail feels considered. I’ve stayed in many beautiful hotels around the world, and MACq 01 remains one I would return to again and again. An exceptional hotel and a very special stay.

Good location with a nice view and spacious room
Housekeeping service and the knowledge of the staff can be better. stack of Bath towels were left beside the bathtub for them to change but not removed though they did provide fresh towels. Bathtub was not cleaned after 1st night with debris of sea salt which was used. was advised that on street overnight charges are higher than hotel but we found one just across which is free after 6pm.
Harbor view rooms were very large, spacious and comfortable. The views were amazing and it is a perfect location to get to all the restaurants and bars. The restaurants and bars at the hotel were also great
