Hotel Caribbean View

Amazing! This place is charming and right by the water. The owner and his son are super friendly and always happy to help. We were sick for some days and they were taking care of us with such a big heart. The views are fantastic and rooms nice and clean. Highly recommend this seaside haven!

Comfortable and basic room with hot water and a decent free breakfast.

Only issue we had was with payment as we'd already paid but they kept asking is to pay again. This was eventually resolved.

Travelling as a family of 4, we got a tiny room with barely any space and NO space for our clothes so we lived in our backpacks.
1st breakfast the owner tried to barter away the included breakfast although I could show proof. Considering we were maybe half of the islands total tourist population at the time one might’ve thought to appreciate us.
Since we were Caribbean view’s only guests it always took an hour waiting after a dinner was ordered, usually spaghetti bolognese and chicken with rice.
Perhaps the biggest disappointment (poor recon) was that the water outside the hotel was unbathable /too dirty and with the closest beach an hours hike away, you be dependent on a bit overpriced boat service (managed by the owner’s son).
Foodwise there was 2 restaurants (both simple) to choose between. The Old Bank is literally a small square
My recommendation - if you’re coming in low season with a family (September), stay in Bocas Town.

Luis , the owner, was very hospitable and helped us to get the most out of our stay in Bastimentos. The views from the common and from the private balconies are beautiful. If taking a water taxi from Bocas Town, see if you can get them to drop you off right at the hotel dock. The food was excellent and always fresh prepared. Great place.

Me gusto el sabor de la comida, el pulpo con salsa caribeña espectacular, pero el servicio era pésimo, el primer día para desayunar llego con mi familia no no había espacio, nos miraban y nadie tuvo la gentileza de acercarse a preguntar si necesitábamos algo, luego de 1 hora que alguien desocupo, nos sentamos y pareciera que nos estaban haciendo un favor, 1 hora mas para servirnos, la cena igual, y lo peor de todo es que creo que estaban los dueños, mala experiencia, el hotel en construcción, reserve por Expedia y cuando llego me dicen que no no tenían disponibilidad que la gente de Expedia no les pregunta, desde el inicio todo fue mal.
En nuestra habitación el agua no llegaba porque estaba en el 3er nivel, en general mala experiencia.

Hotel wird momentan erweitert. Ist teilweise eine Baustelle. Trotzdem gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Zimmer sind nicht sehr gross. Sehr freundliche Familie.

Great welcoming family

Nice place, very friendly family. The water dispenser is a great plus, saves plastic bottles and money as otherwise water is rather expensive in Bocas.
