Place was nice, staff were nice
I was disappointed with the food 😞
The Abbey Hotel is in a beautiful location. Staff were very attentive and my room was beautiful. Lovely comfy bed. Fabulous choice for breakfast. I found the room too warm for me and would have preferred the heating off. But there was air conditioning and I was able to open a window. I mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning and she said that I should have contacted them during the night. I did see the number for the night porter but I got on with it. I asked if there was accommodation to stay another night but they were booked out for the football match. Hopefully an opportunity will come up so that I can stay there again.
Room was too warm for me personally.
The breakfast was delivered to my room at the time i indicated and it was hot (as it should be)
I wish i could have stayed longer!
The location is great. Easy to access the town from the hotel. Ample parking available. Staff are friendly.
No water supplied for the room. There are water fountains on each floor but they were all out of order.
Everything very clean and friendly
Nothing
The property was a 10 min walk from the town
Rooms and bathrooms are very very old fashioned and dated. The breakfast was very poor.
Comfy beds, great location, tasty dinner
Bathrooms, carpets
I was positively surprised by the hotel, as it was relatively cheap compared to others. It was clean and pleasant, beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The staff was beyond helpful and really nice. Dinner in restaurant was very tasty.
The hotel is a bit outdated; our bathroom looked like it was from the 80s, but still, it was very clean, and everything we needed was there. We had a Pizza for lunch, which wasn't the best tho. My partner was happy with the breakfast as it was a full Irish all-you-can-eat option. It was a bit limited for me, as I'm a vegetarian, so I had to stick to cereals. However, it was still tasty.
The style, the food, the location
Staff were a little under pressure so forgot a couple of small things like our order at the bar
