Perfect midlands stay next to the ruins of an old abbey.

This hotel has kept the original features while tastefully adding modern amenities such as air-conditioning.
All of the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Breakfast finished at 10am but at 9.30am there was very little hot food left in the buffet.

Pros:

It's a really lovely little hotel. On picturesque grounds and with some interesting pictures on the walls of corridors.
Staff accommodated y request for a quiet room.

Cons:

While choice if breakfast was good, for some reason they were behind on making sure there is always enough of everything. Small thing but I felt awkward going and checking if eggs or mushrooms were ready. But the staff on the ground were lovely. It might be a glitch on the days I stayed.

Beautiful property
Pros:

Attended for a wedding.
Absolutely lovely grounds.
Staff were very friendly.
Food was delicious.

Cons:

When photo's were being taken of the wedding party the staff allowed other hotel guests to use the main entrance rather than direct then to use another door.
No air con in the bedroom.
Out dated decor in the room.
No one wants to see their partner using the toilet.
There was a bet curtain on the door of the ensuite but it didn't hide anything.
The tiles in the toilets just off the ballroom are dangerously slippy.
I suffer with an imbalance disorder and even when dry the floor was incredibly slippery.

Pros:

Its a beautiful hotel set in a lovely location. From the moment we arrived until we left two nights later, we were treated like we were the only guests. All the staff were really friendly, attentive and industrious. The room was huge and very comfortable.

Cons:

To be honest, the only issue we had was some unruly and disruptive guests on the first night. The staff did as well as they could to control the situation but it wasn't the hotels fault these people behaved the way they did and it certainly has not dampened our resolve to return again some time.
