Categories

Cleanliness
8.5
Multiple guests described rooms as spacious and very clean; one isolated report of a locked/smelly room but overall cleanliness is praised.
Service
6
Mixed to negative comments: check-in staff were sometimes unhelpful, slow or unresponsive email communication, and a billing/receipt discrepancy was reported.
Location
9
Consistently praised: excellent, central location and very walkable to town attractions.
Room Quality
7
Mixed: some rooms described as exceptional (hardwood floors, fireplace, colonial decor) while others had tiny bathrooms, outdated fixtures and thin walls causing noise issues.
Amenities
7.5
Some nice touches noted (complementary sherry, included breakfast at times), but amenities are inconsistent across separate buildings and access can be inconvenient.
Value for Money
7
One guest called it good value, but a billing discrepancy and variable room standards temper the perceived value.
Food and Beverage
7.5
Breakfast was included for some guests and enjoyed, though others did not receive or declined to go to another building for breakfast; generally adequate but inconsistent.
Overall Experience
7.5
Overall stay highlighted historic charm, great location and comfortable rooms but was impacted by noise, inconsistent service and some maintenance/room variability.

It was ok
Cons:

Rm 18 is not shown on outside door so we drove around and walked around for an hour looking for it! The other rooms seem to have numbers on the outside entrance.

Pros:

The king deluxe room was very dated. Mold in bathroom, remined me of a 1980"s garden apartment. Air conditioner and refrigerator very loud . Dehumidifier old not clean inside. And since you needed to put a dehumidifier in our room and hotel knew there was a problem.

Cons:

See above

We were a bit surprised that we were not staying at the actual 'inn' but accommodations were good.
Pros:

Continental breakfast was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. Close proximity to everything.

Cons:

Check-in process was compromised. The person who checked us in (we arrived at 4 p.m.) didn't seem very informed or competent.

One too
Pros:

Location is excellent. Food at the inn’s restaurant was very good.

Cons:

One of our rooms shared a wall with a tiny conference center being used for early morning fitness classes and was EXTREMELY loud at 6am. Very loud music and instructors shouting over the loud music. Completely Inappropriate for an inn stay.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. The staff at the breakfast were lovely. My room was next to the conference room where the music was very loud early in the morning .

Cons:

At check in the young girl was not very informative about the location. Just gave us the basics.

Pros:

Great location, main building and common areas are historic, interesting, and very well maintained.

Cons:

Most rooms are extremely dated and musty. I upgraded (at a modest extra charge) to the newest building, which was clean and lovely.

Pros:

Everything other than not getting to stay in the main property. We had come for the quaintness of an historic hotel but were put up in a very modern room in a much newer building with no mention of this when we booked.
