In the morning I will cplained the situation to the staff at reception. They were understanding and gave me a refund of

It is close to the airport, the rooms are large and well equipped. I love that it had a tub.

Cons:

When I turned down the bed, it was apparent that the sheets had not been changed, and there was a crumpled up paper towel in the bed! I immediately went to the reception desk, but it was past 11 o’clock and it was all locked up. There was nothing I could do, not even get a new sheet.

“What a pleasant surprise! After a rough experience at a downtown Juneau hotel back in March, I was hesitant to try another property in the area — but Aspen Inn and Suites completely changed my mind. The location is unbeatable: close to the airport and perfectly situated between Juneau and Auke Bay, right near the college campus. The rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and genuinely helpful (answering all our questions about the area), and it was quiet and affordable to boot.

I’ll be visiting Juneau two to three times a year now to see my daughter at the university, and this is officially my go-to hotel for every trip. Highly recommend!”

Clean rooms but not a great location

The rooms are very clean.

Cons:

Location, you are a few minutes from the airport but there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel and you are about a 15 minute taxi ride from downtown. The rooms are large but poorly designed. The bathrooms have barns doors,, the closet is in the bathroom, the only mirror is in the bathroom, and despite all the wall space there are no hooks for coats by the door.

Serviceable
Pros:

This hotel is very close to the airport and has kitchenettes with coffee in the room. Our wonderful travel agent, Jill The Travel Gal, had contacted the hotel and they had cute towel sculptures and a letter from Jill waiting for us in the room which was a super nice touch. They also let us check in early so we were able to take a refreshing nap after many hours of travel before we headed over to Mendenhall glacier. There wasn’t coffee in the lobby nor breakfast available at the hotel. It’s a 15 minute cab drive to the Mendenhall glacier visitors center, which has a nice hike to Nugget Falls. It’s a 15 minute cab ride the other way into the town of Juneau. The cab costs added up fast, so staying in town might have worked out better for US dollar-wise but all in all we had a very nice stay.
