Pros:

Cette chambre est spacieuse, confortable et propre. Le lit est incroyable : énorme et moelleux. Le petit déjeuner est varié et le personnel est au petit soin. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cet établissement.

Not the quality you expect given the score on booking
Pros:

Good dinner option in the associated Canny Mans pub
Close to bus stop
Parking option (although not clear)

Cons:

Rooms just not on modern standards (heating control failed, TV not working)
Very poor continental breakfast
This is not a boutique hotel. The pub is the focus and they clearly run the rooms on the side

Perfect location for a stay in Edinburgh.
Pros:

Great location. Very quiet ( unfortunately they were digging the road up outside when we were there but it would be very quiet any other time)
Lovely big room with beautiful bathroom. Very warm. Parking available ( but limited) so we left the car there and used the buses.
Part of a great pub with excellent reputation.

Cons:

Nothing.

While the staff were great, the hotel room itself didn't meet our expectations.
Pros:

The staff were nice.

Cons:

The main issue with this hotel is that we thought it was four stars, and as such we had higher expectations for the price we paid. We didn't find it clean enough; it smelled humid and not fresh when we came in. When I tried to check-in, I had to do so in the nearby bar, and that bar smelled really bad. When we tried to open the windows in our room, we noticed they were very dirty. And the shower wasn't the greatest, water would go everywhere and there weren't enough towels to remove the excess water that went on the floors. Plus, there was no ventilation. Also, the location wasn't the greatest as far as walking to main attractions.

Great stay
Pros:

The room/ensuite were clean, well equipped, the bed was large and very comfortable. The food we had for the evening meal was delicious and the staff were exceptional - very respectful, friendly and professional. We loved our stay. Thank you.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike.

Very comfortable modern stay next to a great historical pub serving a great breakfast.
Pros:

Immaculate rooms, nice breakfast, good value, nice area

Cons:

Continental choice wasn’t great so had mostly cooked. Maybe some berries, plain yoghurt granola etc.
