Hotel Dafam Pacific Caesar Surabaya

We had stayed at this hotel in a previous visit to Surabaya and for the low cost, found it extremely well presented, clean, comfortable and more than adequate for our requirements.
This time we stopped at the hotel twice within the space of 3 weeks. Initially for 2 nights, then later for 8 nights. At this point I will not be staying there again.
We made the mistake of prepaying for the entire 10 nights upfront, and when we spoke to the staff to express our issues and seek a refund to stay elsewhere , we were refused and only offered a credit. We did pay direct to the hotel and not a third party

So on our initial 2 night stay, the room was very dirty. The floor had obviously not been properly cleaned in a long time. Hair, dust, trash and such, all over the floor. The bed linen was stained in many places, and was infact quite grey to look at. The towels in the bathroom were the same. Grey and threadbare. On the bathroom towels, we had registered as 3 guests, but were simply refused point blank when we asked for a third towel. Apparently their rule is two towels only per room regardless.

So since we paid in advance, we were left to return for our next 8 night stay. Despite our hopes, nothing had improved this time around. Unfortunately they had gotten worse.
The room was dirty, the linen terrible and grey and the bathroom was a disgrace. A mountain of mould, and a smell of stale urine that lingered from our first foot in the door, until we left. It was so bad, we had them do two extra cleans and even purchased our own air freshener. It was quite bad.
The fan in the bathroom when turned on in unison with the light, made a noise something akin to a passenger jet taking off.
Honestly, I can't see this hotel getting any better, and as I mentioned, I would never go back despite plans for any up coming visits to the city.

Okay,
I chose this hotel since this is the nearest to my home. I need a short escape since my puppy neighbor keep crying and disturbing my night sleep. Everything is okay, I asked for the quiet room and they gave me one.
Things getting worst when breakfast time. I spend the night with husband and 8 yo daughter. They asked me payment for bfast since we were three. They only allow 2 ppl for bfast. That's ok. I asked how much should I pay for my 8 yo daughter. ANd they said IDR 100k and no discount!
Later, I asked the receptionist, and they said it should be IDR 50k. Kid below 12 yo gets 50% disc.
How ridiculous restaurant staff. They dont even look at me when they said i should pay full amount for 8 yo girl

Room Hotel,
+ Clean, structure and everything looks perfect
+ Ambience lighting is good not too bright not too dark with easy switch setting
+ Got 2 free botol and other standard free items in the hotel(soap, coffee, tea, sandals)
- No sign of privacy or clean status, every room is different.
- Alwys call if you want to clean the rooms
- No laundry list, every room different

Breakfast Experiences & Foods,
+ All the foods in here is delicious
+ Foods Variations is good
+ Free breakfast for 2 person/room(depending on your booking)
- Clean table is slow
- Replineshment Foods is slow
- Need to check related pets control in Bar.. Somehow i have a chance to see Rat running away inside the Bar.

Conclusion,
I'm really enjoy stay in this hotel eventhough there is some area that need to be improve like the standardisation related the facility each room(laundry list, sign privacy, and so on), also in the restaurant must showing the improvements especially pets control and make sure all the door must be close everytime to avoid the rat come to the Bar side(1st floor) . Overall i recommended this hotel, the price also reasonable and i believe this hotel already have procedure to do. Please keep the good work and always improve to make customer happy with the right quality.

I am giving poor rating for this hotel due to one reason, and it was because I was given a room beside their "engine room" (central air conditioning unit). Especially at night when you just want to sleep, you can hear the humming noise and feel the vibration through the wall which separates our room from the "engine room". I mean, you can feel the light vibration because the bed headboard is attached to the wall. My wife cannot sleep at all the whole night while I managed to get some sleep (woke up several times throughout the night). The bed linen is already "greyish" with some stains visible, probably the room was unused for a long time and/or the linens were not properly cleaned. By the way, I asked to change room but the hotel was full that night. I was told this hotel is 4-stars, I think it should be rated 2-stars. Tip for travelers if you wish to stay in this hotel: Do NOT stay in rooms ending with x18 or xx18 which is located at the end of the hallway that has a glass door (the "engine room" is located to the right after you go through that glass door).

A 3 star hotel with affordable proce, the price relatively cheap compare to the qualities and services given. No swimming pool and gym but its okay.
In short its fullfilled all the basic needs for business traveller.
Recommeded.

Delicious breakfast, wide variety and even the lunch and dinner Menu is great
They were also able to make dishes not in the menu, on my request

Stay here 3 nights for work, as we had some event close by, but then we found out that the owner of the venue & the hotel is the same person.
Nice room, small bathroom but thats ok, it just the shower not too strong.
The breakfast doesnt have much menu to offer but for me it was ok, im not a breakfast person tho, as long as i have a cup of tea LOL

We ordered executive Room at 901.

Minus:
Located near the lift
Very noisy
People closing doors very loud in the morning, they like to slam the doors. Especially the staff.
Literally can listen to people speaking in the hallway.
you will be able to hear outside passing vehicle through your room.
Paying the price for executive room but only to realize it is just normal standard room.
You can get JW marriot hotel for this pricing.

The reason why we choose this hotel is because it’s very closed to our house.
House is under renovation thus we choose to stay at hotel to avoid the noise, however we are still unable to sleep well due to the noise in the surroundings.

Dafam can be better stay. Need some improvement and feedback from customer.

The nice and efficient hotel in Surabaya. The hotel situated near Kenjeran Beach and Suramadu bridge. Rate wa reasonable, service and cleanliness was good, however the food at buffet breakfast must be improve

The hotel is located close to Galaxy Mall in Surabaya. Next to the hotel is row of restaurant and coffee shop.
Our stay is very nice and restful. It was easy to go in and out of the hotel. No traffic in front of the hotel. When you are planning to visit Madura, this is a good hotel to start your trip.
The bed is nice, hot water is strong, WiFi is strong. Breakfast is normal. Hwr, I wish the hotel has better towel condition.
Anyway, my overall stay is comfortable.

I will proudly mark Dafam Pacific Caesar as one of the best budget hotels in Surabaya. Not only because the price is affordable, but this hotel also offers classy lounge, spacious and luxurious rooms for a budget stay, along with good amenities. We loved our connected rooms facing really nice view, Mount Arjuna from a distance. All staff are polite. Fast check-in and out process. Breakfast is very good in their fancy restaurant, with a varied menu.
Wish I could stay longer.

I and my friends happened to have the best rate, hence we decided to stay there, even though it's far from the city centre. The breakfast is not bad. Wide parking area. Spacious room. For a price like this, we wouldn't complain.

stayed here for already 3times, overall its not bad, the room is pretty big and clean, the price is around 300k incl breakfast so i think its not that expensive, the staffs are pretty friendly too, i just dont like if i got a room that almost at the dead end, bcs i ever got the room around there and when i entered the room, the lights are dim and i just feel not comfy with the room-ambience, thankfully when i asked to changed the room, they changed it, because if they didnt, i maybe change the hotel

bath rooms could be cleaner, but high standart on all the important things.

Nice place and nice people. Quality is above what you would get other places for the same money. Some of the food choices are sold out but that is a minor issue and the hotel is not to blame, it the suppliers in the area. For sure I coming back there soon.

Nice new hotel, close to where we wanted to be. no complaints aside from the cleanlyness of bath rooms.

Just enjoying our holiday stay at Dafam Pacific. I found out it’s the best hotel in area (east Surabaya). Close to Galaxy Mall and Suramadu bridge, also very near to 2 hospitals (one for baby and maternity specialty). Great job team Dafam.

Nice and comfort bed. Enough TV channel. Clean bathroom and shower. They got hairdryer too. A lot of discount on onlike booking website. Minus score for the food, really standard food. I ordered early breakfast package, and the food is just good. Overall, room is good, nice view from the room, straight to suramadu bridge
