Old and historic place. Understand it was a lawfirm set of offices built in the late 1800's. Need place to stay right in the downtown area. Only two 'complaints' is the limited parking and a steep set of stairs to the rooms that are on the second floor only.
We spent one night at Hotel Ouray. The hotel is very quiet even though it is located right on the Main Street and close to restaurants and stores. The staffs are very friendly. I highly recommended.
This is a beautiful property with a great location on Main St. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, there was a persistent, bad odor coming from the shower drain. It smelled like sewage and would fill the room if we were out and about for a few hours. Ewww! While in our room, we had to open the windows to breathe clean air. During the night, we had to sleep with our bathroom door closed and the fan running to keep it bearable.
This smell alone made me feel like I wasted money on one of the more expensive rooms in town only to smell sewage all day.
The design of the shower itself was also not ideal. The lack of any shower door caused the heat from the hot water to immediately escape. Who wants to take a freezing shower in the mountains? Not me.
The breakfast was also a disappointment. The selections were slim and low-budget. Next time I'm in Ouray I'll definitely stay somewhere else.
Friendly staff
Everything was great but we had to park a block away! People don’t know how to park and not straddle parking lines!
Very enjoyable.
Such a lovely setting and historic hotel! Staff is wonderful and the rooms are adorable.
It’s beautiful for a historic hotel.
Nicely renovated historic hotel in close walking proximity to everything in town. A lovely stay~
Manager (I think) at front desk was as accomodating as could be under the circumstances of finding parking a reasonable distance from the entrance in kinda tour-y Ouray by offering her parking spot upon closing at 7 pm in a town where business-specific parking is at a premium. I was only there to sleep for a 340 wakeup for Sneffels so forgot to grab my to go breakfast which was to be kindly set aside early (but i forgot it before leaving) and wasvable to keep my parking until i returned just past lunch time
Unique historical hotel located on Main Street in the heart of Ouray. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel. Wonderful hospitality and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Everything was good. They could use a little extra parking. When non-guests park in the designated guest spots, it leaves nowhere to go for the guests. This wasn’t a giant issue, but that’s how little there is to complain about. Great overall.
It was all amazingly beautiful. Rhe one thing to make it a 4 instead of a 5 is the no elevator. My legs are filled with Rheumatoid Disease amd it was extremely hard climbing the stairs.
Very convenient location, but not enough parking for the guests. Breakfast was just bagels, toast, yogurt, or hard boiled eggs. Very little protein options.
We try to find more vintage properties. I think this property was built in the late 1800s. Very enjoyable stay
Great hotel in Ouray! Clean and close to all tge shopping and eateries. Nice breakfast for all of us!
It was cold in the room at night, heating hard to adjust.
This is a nice, quiet, boutique property...right in the middle of downtown Ouray. A room with a nice bed, and small restroom.
convenient, ease of checkin
Love the convienience of the location.
Great views from the windows.
