Hostería Vientos Del Sur

We just stayed for 3 nights and it was one of the worst experiences we had. When we entered the room, it was super cold. We asked them how we can get heat and the answer was that is the max it goes. The bed had springs sticking out of 3 places and it was so uncomfortable. The water in the washroom would keep going off and then we realized the property turns them off constantly and we had to keep asking them to turn it on. Even then it wpuld keep going off during showers. Lastly, the washroom smelled like piss from the curtains and it was so gross to take a shower. I travel in central and south America few times a year and stayed in a lot of hostels and hotels. I would say this was the worst experience I had so far in my life. We tried cancelling it but expedia could not do it in time unfortunately and we were forced to stay.

I feel bad for such a negative review given that the staff were all so friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. However, you don’t book a place for the people, you book it to stay & sleep. The room smelled like dead animal immediately upon arrival, and continued to smell until after day 4 when they cleaned it again. The shower curtain was so old it was very yellow. The beds were basically cots with foam mattresses on them. I booked a double bed, and when we arrived it was two twins - which was fine, we would just push them together we thought - nope; two different heights. The pillows were as thin as paper and also yellowed from age. No mini fridge, and they don’t even “allow” you to bring in outside food or beverages due to that, which is really inconvenient when we were there for 6 days. The breakfast was only bread products every single day; no variety, no fruit, no tostadas, no yogurt, etc. I have been to a variety of Argentinian hotels so I know what to expect for Argentinian breakfast, but their’s you couldn’t even call it that. The bathroom had new tile, good water temperature and pressure, but the rooms overall need updating. New pillows, mattresses, and shower curtains just to start would go a long way. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others. I gave it two stars because of the staff, and the views - that’s about it.

Das Haus ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer schon sehr abgewohnt. Betten nicht sehr gut. Haus ist sehr hellhörig .Liegt weit ausserhalb,weit oberhalb des Ortes (besser ein Fahrzeug dabei haben, sonst ist der Weg nach El Calafate sehr weit. Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Frühstück hauptsächlich süß, es gab keine Wurst oder Käse, dafür Croissants und Kuchen, Toast mit Marmelade.

Estuvo bien .sin problemas, encantadora la dueña.

No fridge or cattle . Too many restrictions like bringing water,tea or food in. You cannot make a step from eating area with a cup of coffee. No storage available .

El estado de la habitación tiene varias averías tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiarán las sábanas ya que tenían vestigios de no haberlo hecho con anterioridad a nuestra llegada así como también un juego de toalla y toallón que presentaban signos de haber sido usado. El colchón se sentía deformado y el lugar en general podrían mejorar la limpieza así como el mantenimiento de la estructura del lugar ( alfombra, cortinado). Pose televisor de 14 pulgadas de tubo. El desayuno que ofrecen es muy básico. Con respecto al cobro del IVA no nos emitieron boleta una vez realizado el pago de es impuesto.

Recommendamos este hotel donde fuimos 3 noches.
El hotel es muy agradable y acogedor.
La Ubicacion es muy facil, 15 minutas caminando hasta el centro. El desayuno fue muy rico.
Y TODAS LAS PERSONAS son muy agradables, simpaticas, utiles. A cada pregunta o problema, tuvimos una respuesta (para cenar, limpiar las ropas o la coche, para llamar a un remis, etc)
Hemos viajado en Argentina durante 3 semanas, y este hotel es el mejor sin ninguna duda!

Atendida por sus dueño , esmerados y siempre prestos a darte soluciones, excelente trato y muy buena la información que brindan del lugar y los alrededores. El desayuno muy rico, y el hotel siempre limpio. La ubicación es excelente cerca del centro y de los accesos.

The hostel has really good condition even thought It wasnt new. The staff was so kind, and room was really clean. And they have nice view too. Just the bed was not that comfortable, and kind of far from the main street. But recommend this hostel.

Es una hosteria antigua, poco aseada, desayuno "continental" pan con manteca. Baños con hongos. Camas rotas. Sin puerta de escape abierta. La dueña poco atenta, no es acorde con lo que uno paga. No hay jacuzzi ni maquinas de ejercicioa como se ve en la pagina.

El lugar y el precio.

O hotel tem um aspecto bonito, embora fique longe do centro, o que não é um problema se você estiver com carro. Embora o staff seja muito atencioso com gente, há várias coisas que não deixaram nossa estadia confortável. As principais são: 1) O quarto tem um cheiro muito ruim de mofo; 2) o wi-fi é muito fraco e na maioria das vezes não conecta; 3) o chuveiro é péssimo. Muitas vezes não tem água e não pudemos tomar banho. Tínhamos que deixar o chuveiro ligado por uns 30 minutos esperando a água chegar. Enfim, não recomendamos esse hotel pois ele precisa de melhorias.

Otimas vistas mas pouco afastado do centro. cartao raramente fuunciona la.

Although having booked a hosteria and not a hotel, would not mean that the quality should be much less. Unfortunately it appeared to be true. We as a couple booked a triple bedroom to have a bit more space. At the check-in, the lady at the reception/owner refused us this triple room and gave us a double bedroom. Entering the room, we smelled a very irritating toiletspray. After around 15 minutes, the spray smell was gone and the normal horrible room smell took over. Disgusting.
Bedlinnen was dirty with stains. Mattress and pillows at least 20 years old. A few long hairs on the floor. Very outdated furniture ((throughout the entire hotel).
Breakfast the next morning: nothing fresh (no cheese, meat, rolls or fresh fruit). Only cups of marmalade, butter and biscuits in different shapes and forms. Never seen such a poor breakfast. Orange juice and coffee tasted bad. The other two mornings, we skipped this breakfast (so did other guests as the room was always empty).
When checking out, we asked for a refund, as we were put in a double bedroom. The lady refused to pay and pointed us to Expedia.
Never again!

Fairly nice hotel, feels like a lodge. It’s a good value, as it’s pretty clean, but a bit dated. The low price was a big plus. The long walk down/up hill to get to restaurants was a negative. Pretty uninspiring breakfast - just bread and sweets. Good coffee.

Hotel agréable calme simple et bien. Petits déjeuners bien aussi. Situé un peu loin du centre il faut être motorisé. Belle vue sur le lac

Muy buena recepción, atención y asesoramiento.Enmarcado en un hermoso paisaje, brinda la comodidad necesaria,para disfrutar un descanso.

Hotel situado lejos del centro con gran pendiente para llegar. Habitación vieja y descuidada, colchón hundido, las cortinas de la ducha sucias. Desayuno horrible, (mantequillas y mermeladas caducadas del mes de julio...). Lo mejor... los buenos consejos que nos dió el señor de la recepción para hacer cosas en la zona. Es un hotel que se merece una buena reforma de sus instalaciones y si se ofrece desayuno (que no es obligatorio) que sea digno.
