Location.
The bed was comfy. The bathroom was good.
It said it was a double room but it was a 4 ft bed against the wall. Okay for one but not a double.
Very good omelette at breakfast. Bed comfortable, good shower, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms have obviously been refurbished.
Public areas are a bit ‘tired’ - paintwork and carpeting in corridors and staircase could benefit from updating.
Your right in the town in the high street perfect location walking distance from the train station, a car park and the best pub crawls. Friendly staff and definitely back again
No problems

Proximity to the school......and town shops.
Staff sickness meant no bar food, one evening.
Many stairs to climb ( 2 floors ). It's an old building, of course.
Rooms are small.........but adequate.
Clean linen, comfortable beds. Lovely building with much potential. Friendly staff.
.Junior suite right by kitchen extractor - noisy in room from 7am. Hot water took an age to come throught. Decor throughout tired - corridors, rooms, bar. Limited evening menu. Understaffed. Couldn't find staff when tea coffee supplies in room ran out.
Area has many empty shops and feels run down.
Central location.
Noisy local close to local bars .
