Location is really good and accessptable
The level of cleaning is not up to the level of Hilton in other cities
This location discriminates against women. I’m a Hilton Honors Gold member through my American Express Platinum Card, and I was treated horrendously at this hotel.
I arrived around 2 a.m. after approximately 17 hours of flying, completely exhausted and with my luggage. I was patiently waiting my turn at the front desk when the receptionist, Farris, allowed three men to cut in front of me. He clearly saw me standing there waiting, yet proceeded to serve all three men before addressing me. There was no explanation or apology. As a woman, watching three male guests be given priority while I was standing there first was incredibly disrespectful and made me feel discriminated against.
When he finally assisted me, he told me that because I had booked through a third party, he could not add my Hilton Honors Gold membership number to my stay. I booked using my American Express Platinum Card, which is the card that gives me Hilton Gold status in the first place. I have stayed at Hilton properties in Saudi Arabia before and have never experienced this issue. I have always been treated with hospitality and received my Gold benefits, including breakfast and welcome amenities such as fruit and chocolates.
At this hotel, I was treated like garbage. To make matters worse, Farris gave me an inactive room key. After 17 hours of travel and arriving at 2 a.m., I then had to drag my luggage across the hotel only to discover that the key he gave me did not work.
This was one of the worst Hilton experiences I have had. The lack of basic respect was bad enough, but watching three men be served ahead of me when I had clearly been waiting first made the experience especially disturbing.
I am making a formal complaint to Hilton and asking them to investigate what happened, including reviewing the front-desk camera footage from around 2 a.m. Hilton needs to address the discrimination and the way female guests are treated at this property. No guest should be made to feel this disrespected, especially at a Hilton-branded hotel.
