It was a good stay
No problems
We have been committed to the Best Western brand since 2018. We didn't get to the Diamond status by accident. The customer service, cleanliness of the property and the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and property have continued to become a major problem at Best Western hotels. There is very little that I look forward to when staying at BW.
Very limited food options were available. Just the same ol' Best Western breakfast. Not very good to eat or look at.
The toilet had not been cleaned and had poop stuck to the top of the rim. None of the drains drained. The shower head needed to be cleaned as there were only half of the holes that had water coming out. All the corners of the room had dirt. The sheets seemed "pilly" and not a fresh new feel to them. There was dirt/sand in the elevator and other corners in the hotel. The first thing the Desk Clerk said was "Do I have a pet?" (I did not). Not "welcome" or "Thank you for selecting Best Western". She was very difficult to understand. She didn't acknowledge my Diamond Status. All in all this has become more normal at most of the Best Western Hotels. The quality and Customer Service continues to deteriorate. This will be the last time I will choose to stay at a Best Western Hotel.
Everything was very clean, comfortable beds, good variety for breakfast.
Maybe consider getting a waffle maker instead of the pancake maker. The pancakes maker really didn't make a pancake.
There were many many ants in the bathroom! The person at the front desk said he wasn't able to add a piece of stamped mail to their outgoing mail! I've never heard of that from any other motel we've EVER stayed in.
Cleanest stay I have had at any hotel by far. Loved the tile floors. Thus no stale carpet smell. Very comfortable stay! Great breakfast. Quiet room. Our dog did not feel the need to bark related to strange noises. Very nice staff. Everything was in excellent condition, even though it was a pet friendly room.. Towels and linens white and fresh. Affordable compared to other hotels in the proximity.
Lighting over the bed was lacking in our room. Bit hard to read in low light. Very minor issue though! Was at a busy location, but convenient for shopping. Felt safe there.

I wanted to fill my water bottle before we left and the dispenser was shut off.
Breakfast in the morning
Room was way too hot. Tried turning down the temp. Carpets were not very clean as my dog would not stop sniffing them. I was not allowed to have the room I chose and paid for because I had a small dog. He could not adjust the price because it was booked 3rd party and paid for ahead. So instead of a king suite we got 2 double bed room. Front desk was very argumentative. I said not my problem who they list with theirs and I was upfront with our dog and they accepted the reservation! I will never stay in a best western again! Not pet friendly. Which is understandable since they don’t clean the rooms well so they limit what rooms can have a pet.
Accommodations were good. Maintenance and snow removal.
Housekeeping frequency. Uncleanness of hallways and breakfast/bar area. Unaware of pet charges... booked pet friendly room with anticipated quote and then charged extra after checkout.
