Damp mildew
Pros:

Convenience to the convention center was nice as we were there for an event at the convention center.

Cons:

The staff were short and rude to guests. Many of the other guests at the event with us reported the same thing.

Breakfast was horrendous. I am easily pleased with nearly any continental breakfast but the food here was abysmal. The eggs were like rubber, basically inedible, and the other options were poor as well. Cold, dry waffles, and the bacon didn’t taste right. How do you mess up bacon?

And finally, the hotel has an alarming issue with the ductwork and AC units. We had two separate rooms during this stay, the first room had an AC unit that leaked into the meeting room below and the maintenance staff had to come into our room to fix it. No big deal, they were quick and solved the leak. On our last night, we had a different room on the opposite side of the hotel. This room had damp floors from condensation and a very strong mildewy odor that made my throat hurt. This was reported from several families on that side of the hotel, during our convention event. There is a larger issue happening with leaks and faulty AC. Hyatt Place hotels need to do some serious maintenance on this hotel. I will not be returning here.

We enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

The bed was great!

Cons:

The pool is too small for the size of the hotel. No hot tub, I was very sad after a long trip. They didn’t prepare our room for use of the fold out bed, then they were out of blankets and pillows. When our room was serviced we didn’t t get coffee. A small thing, but it would have been nice to have first thing. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

location was nice convenient to things we wanted to do staff was nice And inform. Room was nice -no view but was in room much except at end of our evening. Clean and quiet

Cons:

sent to have breakfast @9am on Sunday and there was a sign saying breakfast was closing at 930am even though it was supposed to close at ten. No message prior to that. Looked to see what was still available and staff was cleaning up. Pretty much only thing available was beverages. Cracker Barrel for my money that morning unfortunately😐
I was part of the opening team at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis and worked in various positions throughout my 41+ years. So In understand things happen. All in all stay was nice and I will stay again as I am planning another trip to Cincinnati in October.

Pleasent stay.
