So nah geschah, was nie hätte geschehen dürfen.
Ruhiges sauberes Hotel.Sehr herzliche Gastgeber.Super Zugang direkt ins Bad.Ich habe mein Hotel in Leukerbad für die Zukunft gefunden.Danke.
Ótimo pequeno almoço,muita variedade,excelente localização,proprietários e empregados muito atenciosos
I am writing this review out of a sense of duty to warn other travelers, about how this hotel violates basic standards. My stay here was the most unprofessional and inhumane experience I have ever encountered, characterized by catastrophic service and a complete lack of human decency.
I was accompanying a friend with a disability following a stroke, and we requested an extra pillow from the owner to help him sleep comfortably and safely. The owner (the husband) blatantly refused, claiming they "did not have an extra pillow." To deny a disabled man a pillow is not just "poor service", it is an act of sheer inhumanity, demonstrating a complete absence of empathy and basic human decency. For a hotel, this is an unbelievable and pathetic excuse, and it left my friend unable to sleep at night.
This cruelty and unwillingness to meet fundamental guest needs was compounded when he also refused us an extra towel.
Providing basic linens like pillows and towels upon request is a non-negotiable, fundamental service in any hotel, but not in this one.
The situation with the towels became a direct health hazard. The owner refused to replace the super-wet towels instructing us to dry them in the room, including the large, super-wet spa towels. The owner's policy turned our room into a humid, unhealthy hammam overnight. The condensation was so severe that it aggravated my pre-existing respiratory issues, causing a painful sinusitis flare-up. Replacing used linens with clean ones is a non-negotiable hygiene policy.
To my disgust, when I left a soaking wet towel which was dirty and had a mark of black soap on the floor to be replaced, I found the same exact towel draped over the radiator to dry to be reused. This is beyond unhygienic and speaks volumes about the owner's standards.
The room was coated in dust and the shower was filthy.
The breakfast buffet offered a poor, small selection and was poorly organized. There was literally no dedicated or logical space for a fundamental item: the basket of bread. This fundamental design flaw led to the owner (the wife) herself constantly fumbling and intruding into the guest dining area, repeatedly disrupting our meals in a frantic, unprofessional attempt to manage a problem of her own creation.
I am a smoker. Each morning during breakfast time before sitting down to eat, I would take a coffee to have with my cigarette. For this, the owner charged me extra for all the days, because I didn't physically sit at the table to drink the coffee and was therefore not part of the "included" breakfast. She did not inform me of this "policy" even once during my entire stay before giving me the coffee. A service must be clearly communicated to the customer before they incur a charge. Retroactively enforcing a hidden rule is a deceptive practice.
We were required to pay for thermal bath badges in cash, directly to the owner, with no receipt provided. This practice lacks transparency, prevents proper accounting, and poses a fraud risk to guests.
When I attempted to address these issues after paying the full bill at checkout, the owner (the husband) cut me off, stating, "you can say what you want," and literally showed me the door. This is the behavior of an arrogant bully, not a professional.
Policy Violations:
The hotel's actions demonstrate systemic failures in service, hygiene, accessibility, and financial transparency that fall well below the standard for a 3-star establishment.
1. Blatant refusal of basic amenities
2. Cruel refusal of basic accommodation for a disabled guest
3. Unhygienic and health-compromising towel policy
4. Disorganized and disruptive breakfast service
5. Deceptive, retroactive, and unannounced charging
6. Substandard cleanliness and housekeeping
7. Non-transparent and shady financial practices
8. Unprofessional and bullying behavior
9. Failure to provide adequate ventilation & a healthy environment
10. Lack of transparency and informed consent
11. Systemic disregard for guest comfort and quiet enjoyment
Owners and staff very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great location in centre of town, with private access into the thermal spa, next door. Hotel is spotlessly clean, and our bedroom was very comfortable, with stunning views.
Super friendly service. We love the fact that we could go directly from the hotel to the thermal bath… this is a real VIP feeling and very practical! Breakfast was good. The owners are super friendly. We will come back here.
