The room had no bins, the bathroom had signs of mould and the shower was leaking

Bed was uncomfortable
Property was in a good location and staff were friendly and accommodating. Night staff were available to let us back in late. Flexible with checkout. Bar was friendly.
Room was cold, heater wasn’t attached to the wall securely, bed wasn’t the best uncomfortable and squeeky, only two very thin pillows, found a spare which my wife had and I had to fold mine. Room felt dated and in need of a deep clean and redecorating.
The hotel is cozy and quiet. The rooms are spacious.

The staff working at this place are all amazing. They are all genuine and kind-hearted.
I did not like that I had to go home before I got to know more about the staff working there. I was busy most of my stay throughout the days and only got to chat and connect with them late evenings.
The location was very nice the staff was very welcoming.
Very time we tried to go to sleep the floorboards would creak everytime someone would walk across them from up stairs, so that kept us awake most of the night.
Lovely location in the quiet countryside but close enough to the motorways to get into Birmingham.
Communal areas (corridors and reception) rather worn. The first room I was given was dirty, and the second room was actually occupied. Third room was lovely, but mattress was very firm and rather tired

The food was fantastic, me and my partner both ordered the pizzas, beautifully homemade and delicious and a side of salt and pepper chips also just as delicious. The desserts seem to all be homemade as well and were divine, we had a brownie and a cheese cake.
The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. service was brilliant and nothing seemed to be too big of an ask.
We will definitely be back in the future.
Not really a dislike but the hotel itself is a little dated. But if you don't mind that, it's a lovely place to stay.
