Knowledgeable staff, nice location, great views from breakfast and restaurant area.
Although acceptable, the rooms might benefit from a little refurbishment
Breakfast was great and the view from the restaurant is lovely. The pool was nice, clean and great temperature. Bathroom looked like it was recently re-fitted.
We had a room at the rear of the hotel, overlooked by surrounding houses. The bedroom was compact and a little dated (bathroom looked new though)
It was in a good location
Great views
Good facilities
Staff very helpful
Polite and kind
Nothing
The view from the terrace bar was lovely. The staff were very welcoming and the food was very good. Double room small but comfortable, fine for an overnight stay.
.
The shower was held together by cable ties, and water pressure wasn’t good. It could do with a bit of a refurb in places.
The Staff are amazing, Great Food and Great Location. Lovely Views of Looe
Hotel needs to invest in air con system
Location and very good staff, also excellent food
Bit dated and needs a bit of loving care
For a three star, there were decent facilities and plenty of room in the communal spaces. And our bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished and was VG. The indoor pool was also good.
The view from the bar.
The car parking. 25 parking bays full car park 7 occupied by no guests/Staff. Eventually found street parking half a mile away. Did get up at 5.30 the next morning to retrieve car to put in one thr 3 vacant spaces.
Room had a strange smell. Tracked it down to an overflowing dehumidifier, which was overflowing giving and excedingly wet wardrobe top
The bathroom door handle didn't fit a large hole in the door, which you could see through.
One of the electric switches was illeagal as it had not been fitted into the wall.
Perfect location and very friendly staff
Can't say anything that we disliked - it was a very pleasant stay
Location is great, although an uphill walk from Looe. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, the bar area is pleasing with a great view.
Very dated common areas and rooms. No air conditioning. The lift was broken which was affecting many older people with mobility issues. The breakfast buffet food looked lovely but many items were cold. On our second day, we ordered poached eggs, all three were hard in the middle. Butter, milk and sugar are left uncovered on every table at breakfast and there was a fly in the milk. The bathroom was not cleaned during our stay. Hotel advertises having 2 restaurants but one of them is permanently closed.
Room - spotless and comfortable
View - ok across the rear garden towards homes and buildings perched into the steep hillside. Nice but a shame not of the sea
Breakfast - a buffet with everything I could want, plus waiting staff offered to get anything not on the buffet. The window table overlooking the sea from the large picture windows was lovely.
Staff: the staff were wonderful - helpful, knowledgeable, upbeat, charming.
Leisure facilities: a lovely pool and sauna, steam room, warm relaxing beds. Whilst I didn't have time to enjoy them - I was aware that extensive beauty and relaxation treatments were available.
The hotel retains an air of older (80s seaside) style elegance, but everything is modern and spotless. For example, my bathroom looked brand new, with a choice of shower head styles (standard, or 'rain'), both with good water pressure and temperature control.
No air con in the bedroom, that would have been appreciated in the heatwave. More extensive opening windows giving better air flow would have been appreciated.
Location
Number of stairs to get to the room there was no lift to our part of the hotel
Location was a good 20 minutes walk to the main town which was a nice walk
Breakfast was very good full English
Room had no air con or fridge
Location

la localisation, la piscine , la vue
