Black Penny Villas Ubud

One of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. Such a relaxing and friendly place, great food, and wonderful service, especially from Sri and Daisy. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and traffic of other places in Bali. The only consideration is stairs, if that’s a problem then you might want to try elsewhere, but for a great vacation you can’t go wrong with Black Penny Villas.

The room was superb, the staff was extremely nice and the foor was excellent. We can't wait until we can return.

Excellent location for couples to relax. The staff are very kind and service is great.

Villasta oli aivan uskomaton näkymä viidakkoon. Hotelli oli rauhallinen, suorastaan seesteinen. Henkilökunta erittäin palvelualtista ja piti huolta kaikista asiakkaiden tarpeista.

The property and villas are top notch, however the service could be improved. There is some language barrier to be expected, but we had a medical emergency and had to contact my insurance and doctor in Canada. I had the international numbers, but couldn't figure out how to dial out or try to reach an international operator. Nothing seemed to worked. My husband and I kept looking online for how we could reach those numbers. We asked the concierge if they had a local doctor or clinic to contact and how to dial out, and they didn't seem to understand what I was asking for. It was pretty frustrating. She seemed really lost and kept telling us to look it up on the internet on our phones, which we had already been doing, but needed their help. Eventually I just swapped back my own SIM card from Canada and called.

The women who work at reception unfortunately have limited comprehension of English and if you ask for something beyond normal (i.e. room service, etc), then they are lost and not problem solvers, which is bad considering how expensive this hotel is.

It is nice to stay here provided you don't have a request out of the ordinary.

Where to begin. Black Penny Villas is simply incredible. The villas themselves are fabulous! Make sure to book the River view rooms. From the private infinity pools overlooking rice terraces, to the staff who were very attentive and knew us by our names, to the amazing food. There was nothing negative about our stay. Would highly recommend

This proerpty i perfectly niched to the honeymooner. It offers wonderful privacy and opportunity to dine in the room. You wouldn't even have to leave your room if you didn't want to. There are so many adventure activities available and Ubud centre is only a few kms away if a more vibrant feel is wanted now and then. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would recommend that they communicate to the people staying that they let them know when they want the room made up or turned down because we missed this service a couple of times when they didn't "read" our movements effectively. I would definitely recommend this porperty for privacy, quiet and the enjoyment of just the people you are travelling with.

Waren 3 Nächte da. Ist sehr schön und ruhig aber nicht gerade günstig. Man zahlt hier fürs Pool und Ausblick

Amazing! Staff, room and view all amazing. Breakfast was good. Food wasn't the best.

Amazing! We love our villa no5 so much. The view is spectacular!

Good view from the hotel and the hotel location is great including room.Breakfast is really poor no choices at all. Reception is not freindly at all and don't know how to treat guest. I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to poor service despite great rooms and views from the room
