Staudacherhof

Staudacherhof is a spa hotel where quests are expected to spend most of their time outside of the room. The spa and the restaurant are excellent, with one of the best breakfasts I have seen. The town and surrounding area are beautiful mountain areas that shouldn’t be missed. The only negative is that the rooms are very small with little area to take things out of your luggage. The appointments are very well done though and the beds are very comfortable.

Found this lovely gem many years ago when my husband’s parents lived around the corner. We always passed it as we walked to town and said we’d stay there “someday.” After they moved, we first visited and have now been 4 years in a row. We have gone 3 times as a couple and 2 years ago brought our 3 adult kids, a friend, and a boyfriend and they all LOVED it too. That “boyfriend” is now a fiancé and the wedding couple has asked us to bring everyone back next year following their wedding for everyone to relax and enjoy a break after the wedding festivities. We are all ALREADY excited and talking about it! Book for unforgettable memories, drinks by the fire, sumptuous breakfasts, and relaxing spa facilities. The BEST!

We have been visiting since 2004. 118 years of tradition stands in the firm and capable hands of Peter and Dagmar who continue to set the bar high with their exceptional product from check-in to check-out...especially where our favorite corner room was spotlessly clean and fully functional with our Zugspitze view. The grounds are very relaxing with a variety of sitting areas to enjoy peace and quiet. The meal services continue to meet or exceed expectations in variety, quality, and presentation where Staudacherhof continue to work through their dinner service options this year. We were fortunate to experience the Sunday 5-course gourmet meal option which delivered a wonderful assortment of fusion plates with fantastic flavor combinations. Great experience! The outdoor pool seating area is the best while soaking up the surrounding mountains. The property is located very close to town, making it very walkable. The staff continue to be respectful and courteous, providing outstanding service with a smorgasbord of opportunities to keep you busy while visiting this fine residence and wonderful region of Bayern. We’ll be seeing you again next fall!

My sister recommended this hotel, and of course, she was spot on. Charming spa hotel within a 10 minute walk to town. We stayed 3 nights and spent one day at the spa, one day at the zugspitze and one day exploring Linderhof and Oberamagau. Breakfast was plentiful with numerous choices-something for everyone. The bar was cozy and charming and dinner was very nice as well. Service everywhere was attentive and it made for a very relaxing trip. Shout out to the massage therapists-deep massage or aromatherapy massage, money well spent! The front desk also assisted us in getting tickets to the Zugspitze, which was very helpful. I did a lot of homework on where to stay and I'd definitely stay here again. We left something behind and they found it right away-that alone is exceptional.

Nice and convenient rooms, very kind staff, efficient, quiet place with a very nice wellness area. Restaurant a bit disappointing though.

This hotel is a wow. We had a very memorable stay. The pool area and spa make a huge difference for the enjoyment of one’s stay. And Garmich-P. is a very charming town.

Property was fantastic. Great views from our balcony. Quiet area just off main downtown. Very glad we chose this location and hotel.

From checkin to checkout, every one of the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved our room - nice and large with a huge shower - and very recently renovated. Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed one dinner at the hotel restaurant during our three night stay. The pool and spa areas were modern, clean, and very comfortable. Excellent hotel, I strongly recommend staying here.

Lovely staff, wonderful suite and view! The e-bikes we rented (for a fee) were a big hit!

No coffee machines in the room, and kitchen didn’t open until 7:30am - so early risers who like to wake up with coffee are out of luck! Also, there is NO air conditioning in the rooms, windows are great but when the temps hit 90f it was hit. All together the hotel was ok, but I’d look somewhere else next time.

A truly wonderful traditional Bavarian gem. Have just spent 3 nights here, I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, with great views of the mountains. Fantastic pool areas for swimming and relaxing. The area is quiet and walking distance to the town. Breakfasts are hearty with a wide selection offered to start your day. We ate dinner here last evening and so glad we did, amazing food and wine. Finally, from the friendly welcome and throughout, the staff have been attentive and have made our stay one to remember. Danke schon!

Lovely family run hotel - room was warm in summer, but fantastic stay

This hotel was incredible from the moment we booked until we left. The process to book was super easy, I even added a day after the initial booking with no problem and help from the reception staff. The hotel was incredibly clean everywhere. The outside was absolutely beautiful and stood out from every building around us. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, every type of food you could imagine. We ate dinner in the restaurant that earned a Michelin star and it exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were beautifully furnished and again, clean, superb! They have cold drinks to welcome us and a fan to use in the hot days we were there. The water in the hotel is specially filtered and was all we drank while we were there, it was so great to not have to buy water. Parking was a breeze and included in the room rate. We were walking distance to shops and grocery stores and had a view of the Zugspitze! Centrally located to everything you’ll want to see in GaPa. I can’t say enough good things about how happy we were with our stay. Beds were comfortable and you could hear no traffic or noise, only the nature and church bells. The pool was gorgeous, and again, impeccably maintained. Spa services seemed luxurious and plentiful. They had bikes to borrow and a station to clean your car. They literally thought of everything you could need. I’m sure there was a lot more we didn’t even realize was available to us. I found online that they had laundry service but they do not, however there is a laundromat up the street if you need.
