Lovely place and close to the outdoor venue
Very friendly town
The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed was extremely nice and I slept like a log. There was plenty of storage space for clothes and the bathroom was big and comfortable. Would recommend staying there to anyone who asks.
Vintage property
The concept is so cute with the old train car and the courtyard. The room was adorable and very clean and felt very homey and safe. We really enjoyed our stay!
Very nice suite
Very nice town with a unique hallmark vibe. Service is too notch. Couldn’t ask for a better location so view historic downtown
Wonderful stay! It's like an Airbnb without all the add-on fees. The room was huge, very clean, and beautifully set up. There were a few books and magazines to read while lounging on the huge couch, and a writing desk by the window. Lots of closet space, large bathroom, fridge, microwave, Keurig machine. It's in the heart of downtown with plenty of food options. It says "free breakfast," but in fact they give $10 vouchers (up to two per room) to eat at the attached restaurant, which is actually better, because you can have a big breakfast at a discount or eat light for free. (The restaurant is great, by the way, with an expansive menu.) There is a locked door for the staircase and a different key for the room, so everything was very secure. Plus it's a nice neighbourhood. The room was quiet. We'd definitely stay there again.
Great hidden gem. You will love it.
Unique. Updated historic building very attractive and comfortable. No one at the check in desk and office was locked. When I first called the number on the door, a voicemail answered saying the voice-mail was full and not to leave a message. The next time I called a person picked up and gave me the information to find the room.
Wonderful find in a beautiful small town. Hotel is spread over a city block, mostly comprised of large rooms on 2nd floors with retail below. Be prepared for fairly steep stairs.
Really cool place to stay!!!
No one around to check us in
30 stairs up to our room
No free breakfast as as advertised
Very disappointing
Not what you would think. Noise until 1 am from the bar and needed a good cleaning. Dust and mold on vents was nasty.
Great place. Great breakfast.
Great Stay Experience
This is like a bed and breakfast. The rooms aren’t connected in a common building but are kind of spread out in different buildings around the square and the restaurant which has an old railroad car. The rooms are huge compared to what you’d get at a national chain. You get a $10 credit per person at the “Off the Rails” restaurant for breakfast and this is FAR better than the customary free hotel breakfast. My wife and I will definitely stay here again.
Lovely area, the inside is more beautiful than I imagined, the garden tub was a perfect end to my day!
It’s actually a few properties on the same block so finding your room needs more coaching. Parking is in a small parking lot, or on the street, yet the location is worth it. Breakfast is excellent yet not a buffet as ads told me, and the discount at the charming rail themed restaurant onsite was very sufficient.
Everything was very clean and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again while visiting El Dorado.
If you are arrive on a weekend, be prepared, as there is no personal at the desk to check you in. Apparently, the hotel sends out a confirmation email on how to retrieve your room key if you arrive during non-business hours. We didn't receive the email, according to the representative we spoke to it was because we booked through Hotels.com. Seems like an issue that should be addressed by the hotel. Also beware there is limited parking in the hotel parking lot. That being said, our room was very nice. To our surprise, we were in town during the El Dorado annual music festival, so we got to see experience the event for free.
