My stay at the Aloft Hotel in Richardson was extremely disappointing & unprofessional
Pros:

I loved being able to walk to the restaurants, etc and and the hotel had an exceptional bartender who provided outstanding customer service.

Cons:

I had an extremely unprofessional and distressing experience I endured at the Aloft Hotel, which resulted in wrongful accusations, unauthorized charges, and targeted harassment toward me and my family.On or around May 31st, False Allegations: Staff made baseless claims without proof. No warning was given to lower the volume or shut the door, which would’ve resolved any supposed noise issues.
Recording Minors Without Notice: Staff claimed to have recorded noise coming from the room but failed to warn the children first or notify me, their parent.Unlawful Charges: Charges were added after a receipt indicating a refund had already been issued. A staff member was even caught on video saying, “I bet she won’t get her money back.”
The hotel staff violated your own policies by charging me a $250 smoking fee without proof, despite the Richardson Police Department confirming there were no drugs, smoking, or loud music involved. Your staff also had the opportunity to check the rooms directly but chose instead to escalate the situation in an attempt to publicly embarrass my family.
Defamation and Emotional Distress: My family was publicly humiliated and targeted, ruining a special day that was meant to celebrate my son's achievement.
Discrimination and Stereotyping: The tone, treatment, and actions of the staff indicated bias, particularly when your manager chose to escalate instead of resolve.
