A real nice place with great water views and the most pleasant and helpful staff
I will keep coming back.
It was a wonderful experience! Great place to stay! Great view, relaxing, clean!
Only issue was only 2 burners worked (one half worked) and we saw a couple of bugs around stove.
But it was still worth it.
all good
Great
Love it. Will return
Setvice was great, even with a 2am checkout. Rooms was great, except for bed. Mattress felt like a boxspring. Facilities were great!!! Beautiful view, kids loved pool laundry situation was wierd with you havibg to take towels to laundry to receive more, but would stay again if i had a different mattress
Nice
We really enjoyed our stay at this facility, however there were some issues that need to be addressed:
1. We booked a 1-week stay from Monday to Monday through RCI. However when we arrived at the resort, we were told that their weekly stays were Friday to Friday and Sunday to Sunday. Therefore, we were forced to move to a difference building on Friday. This was an enormous inconvenience and to both me and my guests. We had to checkout by checkout-time and then wait until check-in time before being assigned a new suite. In addition, the suite that we moved from was never reoccupied for the remainder of our stay.
2. Though the rooms were very clean, the ceiling fan was covered in so much dust, it was actually hanging from the blades. Also, carpets were badly stained in places.
3. There is no housekeeping service during the week. Guests are required to take out there own trash each day if needed, and also take dirty towels and washcloths to the office to exchange for clean ones.
4. At checkout, they require that you strip the beds, place dirty sheets in a provided laundry bag, take out your trach, and then load and start the dishwasher.
I own two timeshares for the past 30 years. I am assuming I have the worst room in the resort, I should hope not all units are like this. I asked to not be placed in building C but was told they are all booked. Building C is behind building B with great porch views of building B and their parking lot. The building is on a hill, and there are very many rickety wood steps (guessing about 50 feet) leading down to the main reception building with the pool. I would not go on those steps again. Having to drive the car to the reception area and the pool was very inconvenient. GOOD - Checkin was easy, bed is comfortable, furniture is nice. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. Small 32 inch TVs in the bedrooms and living room. There is a fireplace surrounded by mirrored walls. Our unit had a washer and dryer. Nice tall posters on the bed - but I could not see the TV when lying in bed. BAD - Popcorn ceilings, shower barely warm, and cheap cabinets from the 70's. Very dark - dark brown furniture, big dark wood dining table, darker floor, and dark brown bead board type of paneling. Porch had two black chairs and a white table, white lounger, and 3 white chairs making it a bit crowded). Two of the white chairs and the lounge were broken. In addition there was a spindel missing on the wood railing the could easily allow a child to fall two stories to the parking lot below. The porch was not swept with lots of debris in the corners. UGLY - kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms had this very dirty, uneven, brown flagstone tiles with black grouting. They not only looked filthy and stained, the corners were discusting. they looked like people had been walking and dumping things on the floors for 50 years and they gave up trying to clean them. Apparently they do not seal the stones or do anything to make them less purous. In the master bedroom there was a section with the sink and a huge 2 person whirlpool. That would have been ok - but when putting in the big whirlpool it only left less than 3 feet wide for the room with the toilet and a few inches more for the shower. Sitting on the toilet, feet on the dirty field stone floor, I actually had to lift my arm to get the toilet paper off the roll. The master bathroom is disgusting, the other bathroom in the other bedroom was bigger with only partial flagstone and some carpeting.
The staff was kind and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, but the "resort" itself doesn't seem to have been updated since perhaps the 1980's. The halls were very run down looking. They haven't even bothered to update any of their signage (even the elevator certificates were expired).
There was a power outage on the day we are supposed to check-in on May 16th of 2025. Michelle says only Judy takes care of third party reservations. Judy is out sick for over 3 weeks so I asked for Judy's manager and I get a cold shrug. Michelle says, it's an act of nature we weren't able to check you in cause our machines didn't work due to power outage so we won't issue refund. How was DoubleTree right across able to check me in? GENERATOR - yes as simple as that. Now they wanna steal my money because they did not have a generator to check me in.
Michelle is super rude and doesn't transfer my call over to the supervisor after asking multiple times on multiple calls. All she has to say is speak to Judy (who's in the hospital). How can a report be operated on ONE person for Third party?
Nice lake view. Walking yo the dining restaurant. Nice pool.
Stayed in C11. Unit Very dated. Wood rot on back patio area. MX responded ASAP for a bad water valve in Master Bath. Way To many mirrors and glass in LR and Bedrms and master bath. . Did not use Jacuzzi. Great front desk ladies, Ms Shelia and Ms Monique. Washer and Dryer is a plus. Kitchen small compared to others. Our bed was very comfortable in the Master. TV was average 32"? Both bedrooms had TVs. and one in LR. It was a comfortable unit. I see no way these units can be updated without considerable expense. We split the weekly rent with Friends. This made it even more attractive. Location is perfect. Close to all to see and do in Hot Springs, AR. Ice machines on 2nd and 5th floors of the main building. Pool was very nice, Hot Tub was great, plus free ice cream sundaes every Thursday in their activities room. Rented via the Armed Forces Vacation Club. The Bath houses were excellent. Across the street was Bubbalou's Burger and Fries. For a tourist spot this place has great prices.Burgers, $6, fries $4, Tall Boys Modelo Beer $5. Hot dogs $5. Alligator Farm was kinda "Hokey". Feel bad for the Two Timber Wolves there, They should be in Yellowstone. Gangster museum is a must see. very Interesting with what all that went on in Hot Springs back in the day.
Very old, out dated and in disrepair. I am surprised that RCI still maintains a presence here. The carpeting is filthy; full of stains, tears and holes. The furniture is very old and worn appearing to have been bought in a yard sale or picked up on the side of the highway. The room we stayed in was designed to sleep eight but could only sit three in the living room. There was only one end table and a coffee table so plan on setting your drink on the floor. I could go on and on but other people have painted a better picture with their reviews. I believe this place has RCI rooms that are crappy for those of us that exchange and other nicer rooms for overnight paying guests. This is the second worst place that I have stayed since being and RCI member for over 20 years. I am disappointed with you RCI for allowing this to happen. The one highlight of this facility is the hot tub. We used on the first night and enjoyed it very much. The next day they shut it down in order to paint it. I guess they do not want RCI members to enjoy their stay.
Amazing property. The decor is dated, but everything and everyone was delightful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.
Good stay.
It was confusing, there is a restaurant and a hotel in the same building. Its good for stop and go. There are good restaurants around the building.
The playgrounds for the kids were great, the views and size of the property were perfect for our family.
