lovely old building
no breakfast available, not warned that restaurant closed, breakfast info still on website
no reduction in rate for lack of breakfast
no bar - closed
Comfortable bed
The water in the shower which became terribly hot and could not be controlled. Neither could it be turned OFF. Therefore I had to get out covered in soap and shampoo and wait to be given another room.
Nothing
The hotel was dated and obvious repairs were required. Plaster peeling of the wall and bathroom dirty. Lights were available with no plug sockets. The room I stayed in did not get cleaned for 3 days.
Staff were polite when seen.
The refurbished rooms are of a good quality.
The bathroom could do with upgrading.
Location is perfect for centre of town and also public transport. The room was more than adequate with separate bathroom/shower etc. This is my one and only choice of hotel to stay in when visiting family.
Basic instructions on how to use shower! Couldn't turn it off but only because it was our fault and took an employee 2 seconds to do what we tried to do! Totally our fault.
brilliant location in the center of stone with parking
everything else. receptionist didn't seem to have a clue when I got there, bar closed, shower head full of lime scale, couldn't get hot water through, broken windows, over flowing bins
No bar facilities or snacks. Bathroom not up to standard as with the bedroom.
The location in Stone town centre.
Where to start.... Scruffy tired decor. Pathetic shower poor water flow and water cold. Told by staff they only service room "every two or three days". No fridge in room. Worst hotel i have ever stayed in.
Went down for breakfast, no staff around, waited a couple of minutes reception in darkness. No one appeared. I went elsewhere.
No wi-fi, therefore no Tv. Shower controls almost impossible to move.
No queue for checkin.
The hotel as a whole is dated, and very rundown. Wallpaper is peeling off the walls across the lobby. My key for my room was a physical key rather than a card. The room was dusty, and there was an open fuse box in there. Only two plug sockets in the whole room for the tv, hairdryer, lamp and any chargers. The shower was very low pressure, took around 15 minutes to get hot, and wouldn't turn off for a good ten minutes after I had finished showering, took a very long time. The bed was solid, I could feel and hear each spring. When outside, I smiled at a staff member and he just glared at me and walked away. Only two pillows on the bed. There was also a portable heater switched on high in the room when I arrived which made the room extremely hot, and the window would not stay open.
Old victorious hotel x
It’s abit cold
Beautiful old features
Was under renovation. This was not stated on booking. Com.
Owners were very apologetic gave us a free drink and complimentary breakfast. I’m sure when all is renovated we will return.
Staff was very friendly
The heat in Room 216 i think that was the room number, was way too hot, the shower was scolding or freezing, the tv didnt work
It’s in the centre of the town.
Needs little maintenance jobs doing.
