Mooi familiehotel met persoonlijke aandacht. Supervriendelijk personeel. Een dikke pluim voor iedereen!
Ik had een eenpersoonskamer met balkon en uitzicht op de bergen. Wow!
De kamer en het hotel zelf waren zeer schoon. Het eten uitgebreid en lekker.
Ook fijn om een duik in het hotelzwembad te nemen voor het ontbijt. Of een massage na een dag wandelen.
Kortom: een aanrader en een hartelijk "Danke schön" voor de familie Rosenstock en personeel!

Reizendes Hotel, super freundliches Personal!

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit Sicht auf der Zugspitze. Sehr gutes Restaurant und Frühstücksangebot. Nettes Personal. Einziger minus Punkt ist das Zimmer, das in die Jahre gekommen ist. Bett nicht so bequem. Alte Möbel.
Wellness Bereich ok.

Ennis was a delightful host who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. I cannot praise her charming character enough.

Beautiful and relaxing spot. Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Every person made an effort to make us feel comfortable. They went out of their way to help with our dog and also mailed back an item I left at the hotel. We will definitely go back.

The Alpenhof is the finest hotel We have stayed at in my 35+ years vacationing in Germany. The food, rooms and service were highest quality. It is the quintessential small family run hotel in a small community with easy access to the major attractions in the area - Zugspitz and Eibsee and the spectacular Hollentaler Klamm. And, the property is beautiful, spacious with lots of amenities and spectacular Mountain View’s. We plan to return next year. Steve

Great breakfast. Television only had one channel that worked, but as soon as you changed the channel, then the television would stop working all together. But, you don't come to this area of the country to watch television anyway! The surrounding mountains and lakes are amazingly beautiful! The hotel will provide with you a free voucher in order to use the public bus to get back to the train station, which was a nice surprise extra I was not expecting. For the price this hotel was a great deal. I only stayed here one night. Quick pass through pleasure trip to meet some visiting family in the area.

Alpenhof Grainau was a great local place in Garmisch. Granted we were visiting in a shoulder season, and wanted to be away from the crowds, but after the tour bus traffic disappeared around sunset, it was as if we had Grainau to ourselves with the locals. Quiet and convenient to the countryside and alpine attractions, the location was great. Breakfast was super, with a wonderful mix of local and international offerings; the coffee was strong, hot and abundant. We didn't eat in the dining room other than breakfast in order to try out other local places (hint: the Jaegerstub'erl, about 20 minutes walk from the hotel is also FAB). Views of the Zugspitze are great and parking/wifi is ample.

The place is nice, but the friendliness of the staff did not fulfill my expectations. Currently there is a problem with the reachability of the place - the road that is suggested by any navigation app routes you across a bridge right in front of the Alpenhof. Unfortunately that bridge is under construction and blocked. You see the hotel, but you cannot reach it. Problem 1: There is no clear sign that shows that the bridge is blocked and no visible suggestion of an alternative route. Problem 2: Upon calling the hotel staff there was extremely limited help. Just an extremely brief unfriendly explanation about how to reach the place on an alternative route. Upon checking in we found that the room had only one set of towels although we were two people. Other than that the place was fine, breakfast very good.

A lovely hotel in an amazing setting, just below the Zugspitze. Service was impeccable - they even gave us all personalised parting gifts! The hotel has lots to do, and there is beautiful walking around. We could have stayed there happily for a lot longer and will be back.

Alpenhof Grainau is the perfect place to base daily explorations from. The town of Grainau is small, friendly, close to bustling Garmisch and it’s alpine activities like paragliding and hiking, a short drive to Neuschwanstein castle in Füssen, trailhead to numerous hikes and of course gateway to the Zugspitze. But this quiet town is so captivating on it’s own. The hotel is cicely- Very accommodating, professional service with top quality amenities.

Beautiful place and a great location. Quite and cozy.
Would definitely come back to this hotel again.

Perfect Location , Magnificent views, about as good as it gets

We had a wonderful stay. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming (we are particularly grateful to Benny). The restaurant was wonderful. We loved the beautiful well-kept grounds and the very comfortable pool area. Very close to Zugspitze and Eibsee (lake). Im so glad we decided to stay outside of the more commercial Garmish-Partenkirchen in quiet beauitful Grainau!
