la baignoire (une douche serait mieux surtout pour des personnes +ou- âgées ! ainsi qu'un porte-vêtements dans la SDB (chaise par ex)
The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful and indicated the short walk into town where we found a good restaurant for an evening meal. Breakfast at the hotel was good. It was good to be able to park our car overnight at the hotel.

Small but very chic hotel, parking was easy in the inner courtyard. The room was good, even if access with luggage on the inner spiral staircase was a bit difficult. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was very good. The staff was very kind and helped us with the information requested, thank you!
The general problem - the lack of an A/C unit, even though the fan did a decent job.
Very convenient situation for visiting Avranches, excellent parking area.
The hotel is steeped in history with an abundance of authentic relics on show - very interesting and educational.
Receptionist could have been more friendly and welcoming. The day before I arrived I received an email to say that Le Croix d'Or had changed its name to Logis le Croix d'Or. Neither the receptionist nor the barman seemed aware of this and were unable to tell us anything about it.
The bathroom was very small and cramped with no hooks to hang anything.
The water outlet knob in the sink jammed so were unable to empty water. the receptionist came and also failed. She took the plug out and told us to just let the water run and not use the plug. No suggestion of repairing it - not very economical on the hotel water. The wallpaper behind the headboard centre was peeling off and there were cobwebs on the ceiling.
Generally the room looked tired and in need of a facelift.
The parking was very well secured. The spaces are quite small though. The garden of the hotel looked lovely, and the common areas reflected the unique history of the place.
The room (triple room, number 23)did not quite provide the comfort one would want: the mattresses were in bad shape, and you could hear everything from the room above. The decoration did not match the history of the place, but that's a detail.
