Smoketown Inn

Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. I think this is the first room that I've stayed in, that had a very comfortable leather recliner! The Inn is centrally located to visit the entire Lancaster area. Will stay here again during my annual visit to the area.

Location was great. Loved the suite we stayed in, especially the tub and sunroom. My one thought is…Since it is Amish Country, would like it if the morning pastries were from Amish bakeries, instead of the Little Debbie boxed pastries that are offered.

There was nothing I didn't like. Kim, the front desk attendant was gracious, welcoming and helpful.

The Inn's exterior is beautiful
The interior is clean and seating in the room is very comfortable but the bed is VERY firm

However : I went to the checkin desk the next morning to get a copy of my receipt

The owner told me I didn't need another because they gave me one the night before

I politely told him I had not, several times

He was very disrespectful and in the presence of other guests.

I thanked him as I walked away for calling me a liar

Will not go back

Oh, and cable for watching tv, has very few channels that people would like to watch

The Inn was just lovely. Very clean and peaceful. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

Staff and Innkeepers are super nice and helpful. Very clean room, however, updating will really improve the appearance.

The staff was fantastic. Kim was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Gave us great advice regarding places to go to eat and shop.

For the amount of money that you pay for this hotel. It's very very reasonable and clean. The property around it was very peaceful and enjoyable. The staff was very helpful funny and playful even with my children. I recommend smoke Town in to anyone visiting from out of town.

Requested first floor due to disabled veteran. I was told you have to request 5 months or more to even have a chance of getting on the first floor. Wow okay.
The pictures online of the motel rooms are very misleading. They make it look so big with recliners and a king bed. Can’t even watch TV laying in the bed. Room had an unpleasant smell…glad we only stayed 2 nights. Will not be staying there in the future.

Older but very clean. Fresh newer mattress. Very happy with my stay here.

The property was nothing like it was advertised. We didn’t even get the room that we booked, which was supposed to be a king size suite it was a queen bed very uncomfortable. There was a fireplace in the room however even though it was cold out while chilly out, we could not use it. It said there was a two person tub. It was not a two person tub. Unless you were sitting on each other. The picture of the beautiful grounds is so untrue. You can’t even use the bench because of the weeds. They were growing as high as the bench, I even got pictures of it and from nine at night to eight in the morning is quiet time it was like being in a retirement home.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I felt like I was visiting a friend's home. It's down to earth and gives you the warmth of a family home. There is seating outside which provides a peaceful environment especially for someone working on a book. I would definitely stay there again. They also have quiet hours from 9pm-8am which is also awesome because guests can enjoy the quiet and relax. I love this hotel!

Friendly staff at the desk and quick checkin. Staff gave us booklets of the Lancaster area and recommended places to eat and things to do. The inn was older and quaint, but we like this. Quiet. There’s a nice refrigerator in the room. The room and bathroom were very clean, however the sheets had an unpleasant odor that really troubled me. They smelled like when your clean, wet laundry is left in the washer and forgotten for a day it gets that funky smell. and then not rewashed. It kind of gave me the creeps. The bed was hard as a rock. We didn’t sleep well. We will not recommend nor return.

Fantastic location to visit Lancaster and experience the Armish/Menonite community. Great value holiday with super friendly staff and in particular Richard who went out of his way to spend time with us and pass on lots of great tips around places to visit and things to do.
