An affordable and clean place to stay
Pros:

Simple and clean and the staff was friendly. We didn’t have any issues checking in and I liked that the entire building smelled clean even though the furniture looked dated. It was obvious that they took good care of the property.

Cons:

There weren’t enough bath towels, for our group, but it wasn’t a huge deal since we all planned on leaving pretty soon anyway.

Hotel showed it's age and needs remodeling.
Cons:

Hotel was outdated. Paint chipping off wall, floor was warp & cracked, old bathroom features-bathtub, stained toilet around floor and rusty bathroom door frame. Furniture worn or torn.

Good place to stay that accommodated families with more kids in a room, but not a great breakfast.
Pros:

Good price, and allowed the whole family–with several kids–all in one room. Seemed like a good area, at least wasn't concerned about leaving the car. Easy check-in and check-out with no hidden fees. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Coffee was pretty good.

Cons:

Some repairs in the room's walls were done poorly, but at least they weren't left damaged. The breakfast was poor, not many options, and very little food in general.

Pros:

It was a good stay, despite the reasoning for my stay! I have family all over Monroe, but I wanted my own private space to mourn the loss of my Grandma, as well as not feeling like a burden while we are all grieving. They were very accommodating when I decided last minute that I needed a roll away bed. It was very clean, affordable, and located near a Caseys, which came in handy.

Cons:

The beds were on the firmer side. I currently have a back injury, so no position is great. Thankfully, my husband who was traveling back and forth between home and Monroe was able to bring me some extra pillows.
