Camera pulita, personale accogliente ideale per famiglie. Piacevolmente stupita.
Ojalá amplíen los horarios de check in y check out
Très bien situé au calme, neuf
Extremely well designed property.. probably the most comfortable one of our stay in Italy. Burano is bustling in the day and peaceful at night.
First the good - of which there is plenty. We had one of the junior suites. Super comfortable bed, amazing steam shower, great wifi.
It's a short but pleasant walk across the bridge to Mazzorbo for breakfast at Venissa. If you choose not to include breakfast, there are numerous cafes and bars on Burano itself - but these are mainly open just in the daytime.
It's lovely to be in Burano at night when all the crowds have gone. However, if you are fond of a buzz or nightlife, this would not be a great choice. Also it's slim pickings for food in the evenings (unless you are eating at Venissa, which I think for many is the whole point of staying here).
OK, all fab...except...the soundproofing. If your fellow Casa Burano residents are in the same time zone as you, then all is good. But if you are early birds and they are night owls, better get some earplugs. Or shove over in bed. Because it can sound like they are literally in the same room as you. Next time I would go for an upstairs room to eliminate the overhead footsteps, or the scraaaaaping of the chairs....A simple fix with some thick rugs on the wooden floors might help.
Given that the island is a bit off of the beaten path and hard to get to, for the average traveler, the representative that we had from Casa Burano, Leonardo, was extremely accommodating and helpful and communicated often and effectively. The house itself is beautiful, up-to-date amenities and very clean modern but with rustic touches. Would absolutely recommend 5/5. I’ve never seen a sky so blue!!
It is frustrating that the actual accomodation is cloaked in secrecy, in spite of specific enquiries, until arrival. So it’s basically lucky dip.
We were allocated 1 of 3 rooms in a renovated property. I think it was called Casa della Merlettaia.
Whilst the bedroom and bathroom were lovely, access to our room was up a very steep, narrow flight of stairs. We found it tedious to manoeuvre our heavy cases up and down. No effort was made to ascertain our mobility and I didn’t think to say.
A bottle of water and some local biscuits were provided on arrival and that’s it.
A coffee machine was available in the communal kitchen with pods strictly doled out daily: 1 per person!
No facilities in room apart from an empty fridge.
No breakfast baskets.
I felt we were paying hotel prices without the amenities of a hotel.
Burano is lovely but very geared towards the daytime tourists. Plan your trip carefully to ensure you have some supper options!
We purchased a pass and used the vaporettos to visit surrounding islands: very easy and fun.
Camera abbastanza spaziosa, molto pulita, arredi nuovi e condizionatore silenzioso.
Mancava soltanto un piccolo balconcino... per il resto tutto bene.
Great experience outside the busy Venice bubble, incl. kitchenette and convenient grocery story close by, Super friendly staff too! Unfortunately, all the utensils were missing - definitely will come back next time!
Outstanding hospitality.
We contacted Casa Burano twice as requested but didn’t have a response. Eventually we tracked down and tried a difficult email address and got in touch, however, we were expecting Casa Burano to get in touch with us as arranged through Hotels.com. Passport details provided but seemingly not received by our hosts so had to be provided again. Collected from the vaparetto and shown to our room which was lovely. Breakfast was fine but again not much information about what was provided. We arrived for breakfast and nobody was there to explain the breakfast procedure however breakfast was nice. It was a special trip as it was my birthday so a little disappointed that the administration was a little lacking.
.
A group of four of us spent two very enjoyable nights at Casa Burano. Communication before we arrived was good and we were met off the number 12 water taxi from Venice.
The property we stayed in was about a five minute walk from the landing stage and had obviously recently been renovated to a very high standard. The two rooms we had were very well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We liked the fact that there was tea and coffee available in the common areas and it was possible to sit outside in the sun in the back courtyard.
Breakfast was excellent, about ten minutes walk away across a vineyard in the hotel/ restaurant building. We ate in the restaurant on the second evening and had a very good meal.
Access to Venice is an enjoyable 40 minute boat trip away. Staying in Burano overnight is quite an experience as everything closes but still very atmospheric.
We’d have no hesitation in recommending a stay here, although it’s of course not the cheapest option!
Son & I traveled to Venice & stayed in the city center the majority of trip with exception of 2 nights. 1 here & another close to Marco Polo airport (great experience).
This was only hotel we had an issue with during our amazing trip to Venice. Couldn’t find it. Itinerary sent us a picture of a beautiful pink home with green shutters. that home did not exist. Google map took us to a shop, NEW ARTE FUGA MURANO GLASS.. after an 1 1/2 hours searching we went and talked to the shop owners. They said this happens all the time. Helped us contact Casa Bruano & EVENTUALLY a representative met us there & walked us to a building that looked nothing like the pictures on listing (photo below).
Weather started to turn bad and everything was closing. Typically everything on the island closes at 7 PM but this evening it closed at 5 due to weather.
NO DINNER due to the issues we had with check-in.
Complained to hotels.com that the description was not accurate. Casa Bruano stated that they offered us dinner due to the challenges. This was a BLATENT LIE.
Unfortunately, Casa Bruano never apologized & became very RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL.
Apparently they have check in at the attached island and then they walk you to 1 of 5 of their properties. The exterior was not attractive but the interior was very nice and clean. Had we known this information in advance we may not have had such a poor experience. Sadly Casa Buena refuses to refund any portion of our stay and will not take any responsibility
Love the place but closes everything around very early
The welcome and ability to check in early was great. Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Comfy updated suite, great location, excellent staff and service , although you do have to walk a ways to check in.
Loved this property! Excellent location. I would definitely stay here again!
