Important information:

Minor works to complete the Exeter flood defense scheme will continue outside the property during the autumn/winter of 2019 and 2020 which can involve contractors working in close proximity to the garden/river elevation of the building. The property anticipate there only being a minor impact on the view from the room. Works usually only take place Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 18:00.

Please note that Headweir Mill House does not have air conditioning as it is a listed building in a conservation area.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Ok.
Pros:

The River was very nice outside.

Cons:

I had a room overlooking the road rather than the river and it had a fixed to the ceiling shower which is fine for a man but ladies don’t always want to get their hair soaked every time they shower. It was a bit of a walk to the town from there too. I paid a lot of money for no river view and a 1 night week night stay. There were snacks in the room but there was a price list for them.. The bed was not that comfortable.. so didn’t sleep very well. The room was very cold when I arrived also.

Nice place to stay wth parking. The walk into town is 15 minutes up a hill.
Pros:

To register for the room you have to go into the pub. They give you the keys to the room. We were on the ground floor so did not have to deal with very many steps. We looked out on to the river.

Well done Mill on the Exe. Pleasure dealing with you.
Pros:

There was some confusion when we arrived over the cost of our stay. Nothing to do with the Mill on the Exe but they sorted it all out in a very decent way. They were within their rights to charge more but didn’t.

Cons:

Nothing the rooms an Sunday roast we’re just great and the location was fantastic.

Super Hotel - empfehlenswert!
Pros:

Einfach nur super! Die Lage am Fluss ist traumhaft, die Zimmer sind super-sauber, gepflegt und groß, das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut und das Personal super-nett. Auch das Essen vor Ort (wenn man mal nicht in die Stadt will) ist absolut empfehlenswert und auch nicht überteuert. Dieses Hotel können wir absolut empfehlen.

Es gibt nichts zu meckern!

Great location, I was dropping my son off at University and this was a lovely location.
Pros:

Food was lovely, great breakfast in a fabulous location overlooking the river.

Petit coin de paradis au bord de la rivière
Pros:

Cet hôtel/pub est vraiment un coin de paradis. La suite était fabuleuse, particulièrement grande. J'avais une terrasse privée avec vue sur rivière, petit frigo, machine à café, salle de bain spacieuse. C'est très agréable d'être en dessous du pub ainsi, cela crée une vraie ambiance à l'anglaise. Le personnel est très sympa, le repas était très bon également, fidèle à mes attentes. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et avec beaucoup de choix. Etonnamment, aucun bruit dans la chambre. C'était une fabuleuse surprise !

Cons:

Le check out est un peu tôt, mais c'est absolument tout.

A great hotel in a good central location although very quiet by the River. Helpful staff.
Pros:

Lovely large room with good ensuite and powerful shower. Loved the coffee machine and fresh milk. Very helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay special and comfortable. Very good breakfast, freshly prepared to our requirements.

Pros:

Great location, parking, food was excellent, staff efficient and friendly

Cons:

Got a bit confused about the door from the car park which had some company name on it. It apparently used to be there and they have left the plaque as a nod to it

Pros:

We really liked the welcome and the wonderful staff during our stay. They even put the football on showing my team.
The small touches like fresh milk in the fridge . Tea and coffee in the room was much appreciated. The bed was comfy and the shower/ bath with lots of hot water and power.
We ate there in the evening too and it was really tasty and good value.
The location was excellent for both walking into town and along to the quays.
A good sized car park was helpful too.

All good apart from coffee machine and plug issues- hopefully someone can look into
Pros:

Room and eating areas. Lovely staff

Cons:

Could not get the coffee machine in bedroom to work
The plug got stuck in the sink over night and could not unstick it - it loosened in morning
