Some staff offhand
We have stayed at Mill on The Exe several times and have always been very happy with everything, in fact we love it there. The previous rooms we’ve had have all been lovely with big windows overlooking the river.
Admittedly we checked in very late this time, but given that we had paid for a Signature room, and it is a little expensive, our son got Room 9 which was acceptable, but we had Room 11 on the top floor. It was a family room, an extra single bed in there. It was dark and not a great view of the river at all. The bathroom is a small dark wet room, and the shower splashed all over the toilet, sink and shelves - the room is too small for a wet room!
So although we will definitely stay again, I guess I must remember to decline Room 11!
The hotel is great. Staff are lovely, food is good and atmosphere outside on the terrace has always been lovely in good weather.
But retrospectively, we arrived late and left without our breakfast the next morning ( Committments) but we should’ve expressed our opinion then.

Could be cleaner
The room was quiet, and the bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly.
We could not get the air conditioning to work and it was not described in the paperwork in our room.
The shower would have been improved had there been a grab-handle on the tiled wall; there was nothing to hang on to whilst washing one's feet.
friendly staff
dirty skirting boards
Theexcelent room - beautifully. furnished and good ensuite. Good view over the river. The mini bar and tea facilities were well above average.
Our breakfast was good, but no toast available. Dinner was priced for a standard food the kitchen couldn't reach, and portion s were small. disappointimng.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. Lovely food in the restaurant.
Everything was great.
The view from our window, room 9, was beautiful
er was geen lift
Every single member of staff seemed to genuinely love working here. They were attentive, polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for any guest they interacted with. Breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect for walking into.the centre.
That we couldn't stay longer because we had to go back to work!
Lovely location, suite was nicely laid out
Little terrace outside the room was very unkept. Staff at times were great, other times abrupt. Don’t expect to be greeted with “yes mate” when ordering a drink. Food was average!
There needs to be coffee immediately with the continental and main breakfast and not having to wait.
Need coffee at the start.
Location. Rooms were eell appointed. Good breakfasy.⁰
