The locations was great, the staff are amazing, the breakfasts where perfect.

I had written to Paul before our visit about my husband's walking problems. Unfortunately I did not receive my email. However, he was able to change our room from the top floor to another room on the first floor which also had a terrace. In addition the car park was just a few steps away from our room. Paul and Vicky were extremely helpful and all the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a super location with easy access to the town and beach.

Location is excellent. Super clean. Super friendly staff / owner. Breakfast magnificent. Loads of parking. Perfect!

Everything was great. The room was lovely and big and very clean and the owners were lovely. Would definitely stay here again!!!

A Wonderful Stay at The Havelock Hotel

My wife and I recently enjoyed a three-night stay at The Havelock Hotel in Shanklin, and we came away feeling that we had discovered a really lovely place to stay on the Isle of Wight.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The owners and staff were all incredibly friendly, approachable and helpful, and their genuine warmth made such a difference to our stay.

Our room was perfect for our needs — very clean, comfortable and clearly well looked after. It was lovely to return to after a day out exploring the island.

Breakfast was another real highlight. It was freshly prepared and ordered from a menu, which we much prefer to the usual buffet-style breakfast. Everything we had was really good, and you could tell that care had gone into preparing it.

The hotel also has a small but very nice swimming pool, which was a lovely added bonus and a great place to relax.

The location of The Havelock is absolutely perfect. It is close to everything in Shanklin, making it incredibly convenient for getting out and about while still providing a lovely, peaceful place to return to at the end of the day.

What really stood out to us, though, was the friendliness of everyone at the hotel. The owners and staff genuinely made us feel welcome, and there was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay.

We would definitely recommend The Havelock Hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Shanklin. In fact, if we find ourselves back on the Isle of Wight, we would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again.

Thank you to everyone at The Havelock for making our three-night stay so enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and look forward to hopefully returning one day.

The hotel is in a great location for both the beach and the very pretty old village. The hosts and staff are very friendly and accommodating, proving towels for the pool and fans and additional sheets to help during the hot weather. The breakfast menu is very good and swiftly served with excellent produce.

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast (and at the bar in the evening 😀)
