Lahenry in valet was fast, professional and very friendly. He made our morning!
We enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were so friendly, including Lahenry was so kind and sent us off with kindness and joy.
Lahenry and the rest of the valet department were prompt and courteous in retrieving my vehicle.
The service was great! La Henry the valet was very respectful and courteous. He opened the door upon getting into my vehicle and told us to have a great day.
Lahenry was an amazing valet attendant. Very quick in grabbing my vehicle and allowing me to get on the road to my destination with great haste.
Lahenry was fast, nice and polite. I appreciated him my entire stay!
Lahenry at the valet was amazing and he was able to help me when I was stuck on the app. Quick and reliable service.
Best place to stay in Jackson. Helpful warm staff and clean rooms. Lahenry at the valet was professional and kind.
Beautiful hotel with lovely art exhibit downstairs. Super-friendly staff. Loved the location and walkability of the area. Extremely comfortable bed!
Comfortable bed and staff at the bar was awesome, sadly the only good part about this hotel!
The staff at the reception was totally unmotivated and unfriendly. Already at check-in they didn't even bother to explain where was our room, breakfast times, the amenities in the hotel, nothing other than the restaurant was closing at 11pm that day if we wanted to eat. We stayed in room 611, the only thing good was the bed which was very comfortable, but other than that, the bathroom was so dusty! The glasses, the mirror, the toilet lid, the night stands all full of dust! The shower gel was empty already at arrival. We went to the restaurant at lunch and dinner, at lunch the hostess led us to a table by the windows near the terrace; the floor was unbelievably dirty with even glass shards and food under the table were we sat, which seemed to have been there for more than one day. At the restaurant only the bartender seems to work the evening shift, the "hostess" at the front was looking at her phone the whole 3+ hours that we were there and did nothing to help the bartender whom was soloing also as a waiter for a fully packed bar plus restaurant guests! Unfortunately not a place that I would recommend nor will I come back to.
Our organization recently hosted our annual conference in Jackson, and overall we had a wonderful experience staying at the Westin. We brought a large group, and I know that serving conference attendees comes with its own unique demands. Because of that, I want to make sure the employees who made our stay exceptional receive the recognition they deserve.
The hospitality shown by Aavisha, Anisha, Jaquon, Michael, Juana, Ahmed, Lahenry, Ali, Dayan, and Velma (please forgive any misspellings) was outstanding. Every interaction with them was marked by kindness, professionalism, patience, and a genuine willingness to help. Whether they were answering questions, accommodating requests, or simply greeting our attendees with a smile, they consistently made people feel welcomed and cared for.
As the president of an organization hosting a multi-day event, I pay close attention to how staff interact with guests. These team members represented the hotel exceptionally well. They worked hard, remained gracious under pressure, and contributed significantly to making our conference attendees feel comfortable throughout our stay. They are exactly the kind of hospitality professionals who create loyal guests and positive memories! Thank you all truly!
Unfortunately, one experience did not reflect the same standard of service. During our stay, we had an interaction with the restaurant manager, Ciera, that was disappointing. Our group was quietly working on our laptops in the restaurant when she reported to management that we were conducting a Zoom meeting and disrupting the space. That simply was not true. Rather than approaching us directly to clarify any concerns, inaccurate information was shared about our group, creating an uncomfortable situation.
I was also disappointed by what I observed during a particularly busy breakfast service. I asked for a coffee refill because I noticed our server was understandably overwhelmed while Ciera was standing and talking with the bartender. Instead of stepping in to support her staff, I was told the server was busy and would get to me when she could. Shortly afterward, members of our group overheard Ciera complaining to a front desk employee about having to assist our group and clean up after us. That conversation was actually how we first realized there was an issue.
As someone who leads an organization myself, I understand that large groups can be demanding and that busy service periods can be stressful. Those moments, however, are when leadership is most visible. The strongest leaders support their teams, model professionalism, and help create positive guest experiences, even during challenging shifts. In this instance, that was not what we observed.
Thankfully, this experience was the exception rather than the rule. The overwhelming majority of the Westin staff demonstrated warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality from beginning to end. Their dedication far outweighed this isolated experience, and they deserve to be recognized for the care they showed our attendees.
Thank you to everyone on the team who helped make our conference a success. We sincerely appreciate your hard work and hope the employees mentioned above receive the recognition they have earned.
