The Hotel is very clean and staff very courteous and polite. Helpful too. Stayed from the 22nd to the 26th evening. Rooms were nice and big and spacious. Cleant everyday thoroughly by housekeeping staff who also were very polite and helpful. The only drawback in my room 1219 was the AC which was ineffective most times. It wasn't cooling even at 18°C. I did tell housekeeping but to no avail. Only drawback. Otherwise a lovely hotel to stay in.

Decent but lots of room for improvement.
Diamond status was well recognized and elite benefits granted upon request to upgrade to a suite. However, the suite has poor wifi and cellular coverage, meaning you can't watch videos on your bed. Requested a room change and the other suite was also the same.
Furnishing is decent with international plugs. Executive lounge is still not open this time of the year, despite another Hilton nearby already operating their lounge. This can be verified by executive room having same price as deluxe rooms. Breakfast was pretty good with mix of international and local cuisine. Restaurant seems not to be operating for dinner though.

Certainly looks the part on arrival and the room size was good. Spotlessly clean.

Unfortunately the stay was not so good.
Without turning this into a list of gripes I will just say that amongst a few worthy complaints, the breakfast was inadequate. Not enough choice and a poorly managed affair.

Overall, just about value for money but I'd be reluctant to stay here again. If you are considering this place its ideal for short business or maximum 1-2 nights stay.

Checked into the Doubletree and was told executive lounge was closed. I asked why said management is saving money. (Not posted on the website). There goes having a relaxing glass of wine or beer after work before dinner. I go to use the swimming pool, I was told to go back to my room to get a towel as they do not provide towels. Then I was told they want my room key while I am swimming (I guess they want to use my room) I refused so could not swim. Went back to my room and decided I would catch up on the news, guess what-- the hotel didn't pay the bill for CNN so no English channels on the TV. I called the front desk to speak with the General manager and was told he is off today. It's a Thursday and the GM is not working. No wonder this hotel has nothing and the bills aren't being paid. Once again this is another example of poor management for the Hilton Brand.. If you just need a place to sleep pick a different hotel thats cheaper. If you want service, amenities etc- pick another hotel as this one doesn't provide the basics.

good service from the staff. limited amenities and in lower than expected condition. room was dated for a DTH. lots of dinning options nearby, metro is 10 min walk through shopping area . good value stay on outskirts of shanghai, but not convenient for the cbd

Nice and spacious rooms. Very classy hotel.
There's also a spa at level 4. If I am not wrong, there is also a swimming pool.
But bedsheets were dirty when I was back at night to sleep. As it was too late, didn't ask housekeeping to change

This hotel was great! We met our factory in town and were pleased to have a Hilton property nearby. Great area to walk around get food, grocery shop, get your nails done! The associate named "Johnson" was awesome. His English was so great, I told him he needed to come to America :) He saved me quite a few times in assisting with his great English. AND i left my phone in a cab and all the associates at the desk quickly helped me. Johnson even reminded me in my frazzled state to tip the taxi driver for bringing it back. i said OH YEAH!!! Thank you for reminding me! I blew them all kisses for helping me! Johnson even made sure i got more than 2 waters because i drink sooo much water. Johnson! Just come to America!

It was great service, clean but bathrooms need some repairs.

Hot water in shower were not hot enough

VERY poor breakfast: no cheese, few pieces of pastrami which looked horrible, no hot drinks were offered, bread is not chewable

Great service with nice hotel facilities...Room is very spacious and clean. The spa and gym great place to be and highly recommended. The location is also good and there are some nice restaurants within the region

great staff - but a tired hotel needing some TLC.

I live across the street from this hotel, had to spend a night there because no water or electricity in my building for 2 days, staff comes knocking at my door every 30 minutes to check if “anyone” else was in the room with me, until 4 am, i checked out at 4:30 am because I couldn’t sleep, room was ok, but staff was very rude.

Very comfortable hotel with very attentive staff. Very clean room. Very busy breakfast.

This is a new property of Hilton though not "new" by itself. The hotel has been converted and re-branded and it is just a couple of months since it is a Hilton. The staff are quite friendly and helpful but the rooms are not there yet.

The room I checked into did not have toiletries when I checked in and upon asking for them was provided later. Also, the bathrooms do not have shower curtains resulting in water over the bathroom floor, not sure if they plan to install one.

The rooms are quiet and comfortable and you only get 2 English channels but there is nothing that the hotel can do about that I suppose.

Overall, a decent hotel with decent food and dining options.

Had a nice one night weekend stay at the Doubletree in Nanxiang. Previously this was a holiday Inn and you still see parts of the signage, Its a beautiful property and very clean with the doubletree welcome upon entrance.

The buffet breakfast has quite a limited spread and is more for the local taste rather than for western. What is a pitty is that Xiaolong bao (the local speciality was not at the buffet or on the room service menu)
