Friendly staff, but over priced and in need of updates for the price of room
Pros:

Staff were helpful and room was a good size

Cons:

Overpriced for location and facilities, food was not great and room dated and in need of modernisation for the price. Booked a deluxe double but was more like a standard room.

A comfortable hotel in a good location
Pros:

We needed to be in the area for an early appointment the following day and the hotel was a perfect location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and served a good breakfast.

Sad atmosphere , I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone it’s currently nothing like the photos on the website or booking.com

They had no restaurant available and we were not informed.
It was very disappointing in terms of atmosphere and an eery feel to it as lots of the outbuildings were locked up . Very few guests , it was like being some where that could be between owners or up for sale .

Tired, dilapidated, low effort, overpriced

The breakfast was nice.

Cons:

This tired and lonely little hotel desperately needs an update. Unwelcoming staff and stuffy, non-airconditioned rooms with rock hard beds. It's like someone is doing an experiment into the bare minimum that a hotel can satisfactorily deliver without raising serious complaints. My room, thanks to the left open window when I arrived, was full of insects and moths. Everything is cheap and poorly appointed. Ragged towels, cheap linens, strangely typed out information in sticky laminated books. Yuck.

An overnight stop
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel a few times when visiting friends. We are always greeted with a warm welcome. The breakfast is always generous & delicious! We love that it is dog friendly as our little dog often stays with us.

Cons:

The decor is a little dated & the grounds could do with a little TLC

A total disappointment
