Ninguna queja.

Old fashioned basic hotel. Reasonably clean. The room was under low sloping eaves. The boutique in the title is very misleading, and it was very overpriced for the quality. Next time I would book something more central.
Great place to stay. Excelente breakfast!
This hotel is one of the historic buildings in Valdivia, abo the public area quirky, which was fine> Unfortunately our bedroom was scruffy and well overdue for redecoration. A major drawback was the lack of anywhere to sit apart from the bedroom or on the veranda at the front of the hotel. There was no bar or offer of any refreshment apart from breakfast. We would have expected an establishment which called itself a boutique hotel to have a bar or at least a lounge area. The reception staff behind the were the most offhand and the least helpful and informative we had encountered in our eight week trip in Chile and Argentina.
We got the feeling that the Hotel counts on the popularity of the town. As we arrived we were just handed a form and the receptionist left us without any comments. The somebody else gave us the room key of a small room in the attic. After I asked for a bigger room, we were given a room for three people.
Nice building with good decor and very well located just few minutes walk from the city center.
We had a room close to the car park, it was a nice room but a bit noisy and out of the main building.
The breakfast is amazing though, milk chocolate, coffee, tea, milk, juice, cakes, bread, ham and cheese, butter and jam, dulce de leche, fruit, eggs... and the cooks/waiters do take good care of it!
Would have liked a bit more friendly receptionist who explained something about the city but it wasn’t the case.
Anyways, we would repeat.
The hotel takes security seriously. There is secure parking. Entrance to the hotel is via electronic gates. This might give the impression that Valdivia is an unsafe place. We did not find this to be the case. It is very relaxed and welcoming.
The first impression of our room was not particularly good. The furnishings are very old and the decor tired. Despite this, we were very comfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom is also very dated but we had ample hot water at all times.
Breakfast, although the same each the scrambled egg especially so.
Hotels in Valdivia are very expensive so we felt that we had good value here.
Staff are all very pleasant.
The hotel is clean and has been remodeled. But I felt a little like I was in a lockdown facility. An unfriendly receptionist had to electronically open and close the front door and front gate to get in or out of the hotel. The facility has many guest rooms and has the feel of being over-crowded...so they can get the maximum profit. There is no lobby....only a couple of chairs in the halls. If you want to sit you must stay in your room. There is constant soft music, which verges on elevator style. The breakfast area is small for the number of potential guests and crowded with tables. On the whole the place gave me the creeps.
This hotel is in an old stately home that has been pleasantly remodeled and preserved to accommodate a small hotel. It has protected and private parking, which we needed, so that was a big plus. Without a car, it is on the edge of the city center on the opposite side of town as the bus station. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was nice. We were upgraded into a slightly larger room than we had booked and that was appreciated. The room was more like a B&B than a hotel, as was the overall vibe. There was a nice sun filled common sitting room that was nice for the few minutes we spent there. We were only one night and it served its purpose, as we were just using Valdivia as a transfer point from plane to car. Breakfast was included, but not memorable. The WiFi worked in the room!
The hotel is nice, breakfast is good, staff helpful. The only thing that really let it down was the fact that you always have to ask someone to open the front door and gate. Probably for security reasons, but the fact that you couldn't open it yourself from inside made me feel very locked in.
This is not a boutique hotel, is a hotel in a beatiful old building that doesn't have the confort you expect in an even regular place.
Is incredibly noisy at night, its breakfast has bad quality food , and some of the installations are poorly design or just falling apart. is actually pricy for what you really get: a bad night sleep and awful food.
At least its staff is nice.
We needed a room on New Year's Eve 2015 and fortunately Paulina got us in! She gave us a room that was ground level in back of the hotel. It was very private and very clean. Breakfast was great every morning: coffee, fruit, bread, ham, cheese...served by friendly, helpful staff. It's been six months ago we were there, and we still have fond memories. Great amenities and staff for a very reasonable price.
Nicely restored old home in historic section of Valdivia.
Parking in back.
Hard to find.....apparently GPS doesn't navigate to this location well according to staff.
Well located for the part of Valdivia you want to be in.
Easy walk to the waterfront
Our room was nice. Great bathroom/shower. Quiet. Staff helpful
A little concerning that there were locked gates and barbed wire around the hotel. And we were told not to walk around at night.
we weren't nuts about the city. Stayed 1 night.
Great breakfast in morning.
Very nice and interesting historic house converted into a small hotel. Safe, on-site parking. Nice staff. Just a block from the Rio Calle Calle and the morning market. Easy walk across the bridge to restaurants and brewpubs. Only downside is that there is a fair amount of road noise.
What a lovely place with great character and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable for one person, although it may have been a bit cramped for two. The breakfast was also great and the building is well situated. If I have the pleasure of being in Valdivia again, I would definitely consider staying here.
I was supposed to only stay here for a few days upon arrival to Valdivia. Instead, I stayed for a month. I loved it here. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is well situated. The very best aspect of this wonderful little hotel? The service and the wonderful friendly staff. They treated me like family and were always eager to help and make me feel like I was in my own home. I would not hesitate to return here and recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Valdivia.
This is a very comfortable and welcoming place. I would say it is more like a bed and breakfast then a hostel. Old historical house. Staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning is fresh and complete.
Although this was not the nicest place we have been to it was way worth the price. The service and location is great. It was just one block off the river. Upstairs there was a drawing room to relax and play games with a view of the river. The rooms were clean and included a good breakfast. We easily walked to the center of town. We would recommend staying here if you are on a budget.
