The Coast Beachfront Hotel

Staff is awesome, rooms were clean and very well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful and was a great start to our day. Located right on the beach and felt very safe! Would definitely return!

Location was walkable to restaurants and beaches downtown tamarindo. Rooms were well equipped, clean and spacious. Service was great. Continental breakfast had good options and arrived when requested. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dejuan was fantastic!

This place is beautiful, with a nice pool and direct access to the beach. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. A short walk to town, and a small supermarket nearby for essentials. The junior suites are great, with a kitchenette setup. The staff was very nice, but a special shoutout to Maybel for her kindness and her help during our trip.

Wonderful! Spectacular.

The property is located in a good spot, away from the craziness of downtown but close enough you can walk. The beach area in front is one of the surfing hotspots if that's what you are looking for. Mainly I would say the staff at this place is the best anywhere that we've been in years. They are friendly, helpful and all around amazing.

If you’re looking for a small , private spot to relax on your vacation this is it! The staff was courteous and so helpful. The room was immaculate and morning breakfast was just what we needed - fruit,granola and coffee! There’s surfing right in front of the hotel and we had a short walk on the beach to the pickup spot for fishing.

Loved everything about this adorable hotel. Super clean, VERY helpful and made us feel welcomed right away. Literally the beach is right outside of the property, the pool is so clean, they have surfboards body boards and sand boys for the beach for the kids if needed. They provide you a great simple delicious breakfast, love that it was served to us every morning. And the STAFF house keeps to the security guards were so friendly. All around great vibes, walking distance to everything. I would recommend anyone to stay here if your looking for a beach front location. OneLove. Pura Vida !

This was our 15th year year staying at this hotel. Probably for a good reason right? The staff from the Front Desk to the lady who cleaned the room were amazing. What has changed over the years: Friends can no longer come over to play card/domino games. If you use a surfboard you are charged. Years ago it was free because you stayed there. I understand not wanting friends using the facilities but coming over to playtimes inside of our room? I had contacted one of the owners about this with no response. We still plan to return here because of the staff.

Good room right on the beach with private beach access. Walkable to a lot of bars and restaurants.

Very beautiful hotel right on the beach, with easy beach access (great for laying out on the loungers and watching the sunset), with a pretty blue pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast were delicious and had huge portions. The only downside was the black mold in the shower, the wall below the air conditioner, and the air conditioner itself which was blowing out chunks of black stuff while on.

First time to Tamarindo and totally lucked out with the Coast Beachfront hotel. Beautiful rooms with full kitchen, nice and clean pool and steps from surfing at the beach. Complimentary continental breakfast delivered to our room. We ate outside each morning, watching the waves. The Coast is walking distance to the heart of Tamarindo while also being far enough to not be loud. Best experience- I hope we can go back!

Sweet little gem. Beautiful cozy hotel, clean and welcoming. Polite and helpful staff !! Located right on the beach. The pool is very clean! I highly recommend! We stayed on the second floor ocean view and we enjoyed every second of it!

Hello ,My wife and I spent 4 weeks at the Apartment beside the Coast Hotel, VRBO which is owned by the Coast. so we got full use of all the amenities at the main hotel , and we had a wonderful stay, the staff at the front desk were so nice very helpful with anything we needed they made us feel at home, as well as the maids and security guards and grounds workers , everyone who works there has a wonderful attitude and they do an excellent job as well .The whole place is top notch , location is perfect beautiful rooms ands grounds , surf board rentals and lessons via Carlos surf school . If you are going to Tamarindo stay at the Coast Hotel . Bill & Nyree

We just lived everything about our stay!

My teenage son and I just finished a week stay at the Coast.

Here’s what we loved: The room! We had a beachfront bungalow which we HIGHLY recommend. Our balcony looked directly over the gorgeous ocean, and the room itself was massive, with a fully equipped kitchen.

The front desk staff were consistently helpful and accommodating. Special shout out to Deijan and his big smile!

Here’s what was just okay:

The breakfast. While it’s lovely that they deliver breakfast to your room, the options are fairly limited. Think cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice. No eggs, pancakes, etc.

The facilities. Other than a small pool, there’s nothing here. No restaurant, bar, etc. It’s honestly more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel.

The location. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main drag. We are active and don’t mind walking, but there are lots of hotels more central if that matters to you.

Last, book a surf lesson at one of the many surf schools rather than with Carlos, the hotel instructor. We recommend Leandro and Surf Everyday Academy. Maybe we just found him on a bad day, but Carlos had negative energy and we can’t recommend him.

What I think it needs improvement is the breakfast, it is too light, they should include at least eggs and bacon.
