I love staying in your hotel the ambience is so relaxing and the staff is bery accomodating and kind. Surely come back. Thanks you.
We had a great stay at Forest Lodge. The staff is simply the best. The front desk staff are very professional and friendly from the moment you check in. The rooms are well kept. Overall a memorable experience.
nice room i always enjoy staying here when going to baguio these hotel is my favorite place to stay than any other hotel i stay in baguio
We recently booked two rooms at The Forest Lodge, and once again, it did not disappoint. This has officially become our preferred hotel every time we visit Baguio.
What we loved:
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Booking multiple rooms was seamless, making it a perfect setup for a larger family group.
Access to The Manor: One of the best perks is the proximity to The Manor. Our kids absolutely loved the evening activities in the garden area—it really adds a magical touch to the stay.
Consistent Quality: There’s a reason we keep coming back; the cozy vibe and reliable service make us feel right at home.
The Forest Lodge remains our top choice for a relaxing and fun-filled mountain getaway. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
This is my second time stay and surely will be the routine every baguio trip. Price for the quality. You will love the view, amenities, you’ll like the whole place in general. Staff is amazing too, specially our room attendant jomar
We came here hoping to escape the city noise and heat. At check-in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the Christmas decorations were still up and genuinely pretty. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the stay.
Within minutes of entering our room, we discovered the toilet didn’t work. When we turned on the kitchenette lights, we were greeted by 20–30 cockroaches. Baby roaches were actively trying to crawl into our open luggage, coming from under the worn, dilapidated carpet and the wooden cabinets. The furniture throughout the room was extremely outdated and in poor condition.
We contacted the front desk and were moved to another room. This room had its own issues. The shower was so narrow it was difficult to even get inside, and it was visibly dirty with black mold in every crevice. The towels were old, stiff, and smelled unpleasant, and no washcloths were provided. The “pull-out sofa” isn’t really a sofa bed at all—it’s just a box that slides out from underneath.
To top it off, the hotel blasted holiday music until around 10:00 PM, and the noise carried straight into the rooms, making it impossible to relax.
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is not the place. I would not recommend staying here.
Well, still the best hotel in Baguio. The ambiance at this hotel is perfect. Service is top-notch! I want to commend Vanessa from the front office and (I forgot his name but I think his last name is Toribio). They really showed what is a customer service is. When you work in the same industry you know when the person is faking it or genuine in their sevice with these two (Vanessa and Mr. Toribio) I really felt the genuine service they provided to us during our stay. Kudos to your team and looking forward to return on this hotel.
We had the best experience staying in Dorst Lodge. Beds are comfortable, room was spotless. Staff are kind and we are allowed to check out late. We will definitely come back.
Our January Baguio annual trip is a family core memory for us. We love staying in the CJH area for relaxation and life reset 😍
Staying here is always a great experience for us. We love staying here for a more low-key and quiet time. To cap it off, we have easy access on their other hotel for a more boisterous environment, as we see fit 😉
Amenities were incomplete. I didn't have towels, sink was clogged and drains very slow. It took a while almost an hour for the front desk to check back with me and tell me that my room is ready, that is after I followed up. Check out was inconvenient as you have to go to front desk in person and wait for a about 10 minutes again for them to check the room and process your refund.
Had a great experience staying in the hotel for several times but on our last stay, we had an issue on our request for non-loft type room for kids’ safety ahead of time as confirmed from ms.pia but not intially given hence waited for more than 1 hour for the room. Received apology from ms. Chloe. Need to improve communication as i already informed that i had 2 different bookings on 2 consecutive nights for convenience but still called me several times and deactivated the key card after 1 night.
Superb stay and service, as always. A holiday isn’t complete without The John Hay Hotels staycation. ✨ Highly recommended for a luxurious holiday escape.
Great as always except for very rowdy occupants in the room next to ours until 1AM. We called Front Desk twice having come from Manila, we were tired and wanted to sleep. They had a balcony, we didn’t. So we can hear them right by our window. They never stopped even when called by Front Desk and so I felt like the policy could have been implemented with more efficiency. Other than that, this will always be a favorite destination for me and my family. We go twice a year, sometimes even three! :)
Always an enjoyable trip! Ideal for rest and relaxation and the staff are always helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended for family trips and important gatherings.
If you want a relaxing and hassle free vacay in the summer capital city of Ph, always choose Forest lodge
Staffs are very nice, location wise and even the food are so good as well
Worth the price
We had fun from the grand lobby design up to the sumptous food and clean and well maintained room. Our only issue was they were not able to accomodate our big group for dinner..their restaurant has limited space
Thank you for considering my booking that was booked on the wrong date. Hotel staff are very accommodating and very considerate on my request.
Attentive staff, decent lobby and room, food was ok, but they really need to double down on tending to details- toilet seat and sink faucet loose and wobbly- minor annoyances. Room door did not fully close, and you don't realize it- serious security issue. Ordered room service for dinner one night, salt provided in a small bowl, with chunks of some black contaminant. Gotta sign a receipt to borrow an umbrella- ridiculous.
Checkout took over 10 minutes- inefficient; glad we left very early. Tried to charge us for minibar items we didn't consume- sloppy (or dishonest). Overall, mediocre at best. If we go to Baguio again we will try a different hotel.
Our stay was outstanding, from making reservations until check out including valet. The only concern is need to have enough water pressure in the shower area. That’s it. Will be coming back 2026 and for surely recommend this place to friends and relatives.
