Very friendly and helpful staff!!! Excellent breakfast and the rooms were very clean and maintained; however, there were no room darkening drapes or blinds only sheer see-through drapes which impacted our sleep and privacy. Also, we could smell cigarette smoke from the neighboring room being blown out their window. This was not the property's fault but diminished our experience. I recommend this property and the outstanding staff.

Unfortunately the bed mattress was terrible. The rest was ok.

ICON Casona 1900 is the ideal boutique hotel for a stay in Madrid. Great shopping and restaurants all around. The hotel is lovely; the rooms well appointed and spacious. Everything from the wonderful water pressure in the rain shower to the majestic breakfast buffet are top notch! We’ve stayed at ICON Casona multiple times, but all it will take is 1 time to fall in love with this gem of a hotel!
Cleaness
Nice hotel in the Salamanca district with easy access to high-end shops, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was good and rooms were spacious if not a little dated.
The overall reception lobby area was extremely clean and in order. Same for the elevator, corridor to the rooms and the room itself.

Our stay was very nice. They upgraded us to a suite. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, well done and very clean.

The staff went out their way to be helpful to when we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready. Even offered and upgrade and a free cocktail. Hotel is lovely and elegant. Room has great amenities. Highly recommended.
