All went well. Spacious dining room. Self service all types of various breakfast foods available including traditional cooked
options. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely quirky historic inn with period features. Big car park. Large covered area. Big comfortable bedrooms and a large bathroom.
Everything was perfect. Large car park. Drinks and food were lovely. Staff were very friendly. And a four poster bed. Great location we loved it.
Nothing to not like
Love the quaint character
We were on top floor and shower had very little water flow.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. During the Silverstone weekend, almost every hotel was fully booked, and I couldn’t find a place to stay for Saturday because I had only booked Friday night. The staff went out of their way to help me and managed to arrange everything for me, which I really appreciated.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. The breakfast was also very good with a great selection. It exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay.
It was clean. That's the only thing that was good.
There was no shower gel. When I told this at the reception during check out, I was told that I should have asked for shower gel. So I would go in the shower, see there is no shower get, I would get dressed, go downstairs to a different building, and ask the reception for shower gel? In what world is that acceptable?
And even if you had shower gel, you still couldn't enjoy a shower. The hot water was just dripping some water, and when you turned on the cold one to add some water and make it more tolerable to the skin, the hot water turned off. So it was either scorching hot drops or cold shower, nothing in between.
The beds were too soft and wobbly.
3rd visit I proposed to my wife there 32 years ago. So special to us. Totally relaxed. Easy bus service to Buckingham or Aylesbury
Nothing in Winslow
Perfect! The room was peaceful but above all else, the ladies who run it were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I felt really safe and relaxed - as a lady travelling on my own - and they made me feel right at home. I can’t thank them enough.
A warm and courteous welcome from the staff. When the receptionist was about to show me to my room, she saw I had mobility difficulties and asked if I would prefer a ground floor room, or a room with a few stairs. I said yes, and thanked her for asking. She showed me to room with only 3 steps to enter. It was perfect for me. the meeting I was at dined at the hotel and, as usual, the food was excellent. Breakfast was exactly what I wanted and very tasty. Having stayed there before, I was pleased that all was to the usual high standard.
There was nothing not to like.
Staff were lovely. They were very welcoming and we felt at home immediately.
Good beer, great pies (just about the best I've ever had) and a lovely atmosphere in the pub from staff and regulars alike.
Not necessarily a reflection on the property, more the weather, however, the rooms were very hot, despite the fans provided. It was 35C outside though, so I suspect everyone was suffering.
