Edificio antico e molto suggestivo al di fuori, rinnovato all'interno mantenendo le caratteristiche storiche. Comodissimo l'ampio parcheggio e possibilità di cenare nel pub sottostante

Absolutely stay here for good food and friendly staff

The food! Aside from our breakfast this week, our food has been what can only be described as garbage. We arrived and I could smell the deliciousness straight away. I have dysphagia, and I struggle to swallow, but subbing chips for truffle mash was no problem. Fish, truffle mash is quite literally the best way to eat a fish supper. Seriously. Try it. Breakfast was amazing too. Im a happy girl. Also, to the lovely lady who waited on us at breakfast (11/05/25) my perfume wasnt by Lataffa. I took a pic of it. Please give it to her ♥️

Cons:

Room was a little cold and the toilet didnt half make a racket.

Mediocre rooms, great staff
Pros:

We stayed overnight for our trip to Cornwall. We booked two rooms as we had our dog, rooms were small and would be very uncomfortable in warm/hot weather. For bed and breakfast (standard) it was expensive!
The staff were lovely, very approachable, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, but management need to rethink their prices or better still try staying overnight in Room 11 for example.

Great stay at The Thatch for 5
Pros:

The staff were fantastic. We had Honour (sounds like but not quite his name, sorry!) who looked after us in the evening and Sasha, who was hilarious at breakfast. Nothing was ever too much and their food is just amazing 😍

Very happy - my second stay and looking forward to a return,
Pros:

This is my second stay at the hotel, and this was as good as my last. The staff are lovely; kind and respond immediately to any issues - I mentioned during dinner I was cold in the room. When I returned after dinner, a portable heater was waiting for me and the central heating had been put back on. The food is excellent, parking is no problem and the rooms are clean and comfortable. No problem recommending.

Cons:

La pulizia non è stata il massimo.
Capelli nel letto. Macchie sulle lenzuola. Ragnatela nel bagno in posizione ben visibile.
Dotazioni di base come carta igienica e sapone ridotto all'essenziale.
Check in fatto in autonomia al token con la ragazza molto gentile che ci ha indicato la stanza.
Al check out abbiamo atteso molti minuti inutilmente all'ingresso sperando nell'arrivo di qualcuno ma questo non è avvenuto.
Abbiamo provveduto a fare check out in autonomia dal token, lasciato la key card in apposito deposito come indicato e siamo andati via.

My sisters and I live in different parts of the uk and picked this place for our reunion . The food was exceptional as well as the staff . Excellent choice Such a lovely place to meet up with each other Thank you for your hospitality

Pros:

Very nice vintage hotel outside of Gloucester city. Good food, very pleasant staff and friendly atmosphere. Maybe slightly overpriced.
