Love the simple and calming aesthetic. The building is adorable. The location is perfect. I loved the tea/coffee station.
The walls are very thin so you can hear people in the other rooms. You can hear toilets flushing and people talking. If it’s possible to add insulation it would make a huge difference.
A large, comfortable room with a good king bed. The location is in Westwood within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and UCLA.
The parking cost ($45 valet) should be made more visible - it is not on the booking websites and was not known until after I booked. I understand the reason for the cost (although it is a relatively high cost, even in LA), my complaint is that it is not disclosed before booking. Recommendation: the croissant they provide for breakfast (very nice) would be much improved if there was a toaster oven available to warm them.
Charming hotel, very friendly and helpful staff
The Booking.com taxi from the LAX airport to the hotel was not satisfactory. It was very confusing to get in contact with the driver and to find him. It felt as if he was totally new to the job, and besides, he did not speak one word of English
Staff was so nice my room was clean and very nice it was quiet and peaceful. I was comfortable and well relaxed I would definitely come back and stay any time the location was perfect close to a lot of nightlife and eatery and breakfast was nice as well
Clean, nice greeting in reception
Tiny bedroom, horribly smelling shower shampoo, conditioner and body wash. So strong that the hotel upstairs smelled of it. Not as close to UCLA as suggested. No restaurant, very basic breakfast. Very overpriced.
Great location and price. Cute little hotel!
Stylish boutique hotel. Comfortable beds and room. Delicious breakfast.
I’m amending my previous review because I complained about an amenities charge being a surprise. A representative from the property kindly reached out to discuss it with me and it turns out the fee was disclosed and I made a mistake.
I recommend d this property without hesitation and will be staying here in the future when visiting UCLA!
Stylish boutique hotel with a relaxed home-from-home feel. The reception team were wonderful and very welcoming. The hotel was always clean and tidy and the communal area was lovely. There is a pretty garden area with a fountain and comfy chairs at the back.
Air con in the first room we stayed did not seem to be functioning. Gluten free options for the bagels and pastries at breakfast would have been great. Airport shuttle was incorrectly advertised on booking.com.
Proximity to UCLA Medical Center
I've stayed at three other Palihotels. I'm shocked this is under the same brand. I paid extra for a garden room and there was no garden. The hotel overlooks a busy street. And I was charged a resort fee and parking, which entailed them moving my car to a meter right in front of the hotel. Something I could've done myself but they charged me $45/day.
Additionally, they didn't provide any coffee/tea/water in the room. And the continental breakfast that I've experienced in their other properties was comprised of horribly stale croissants and Yoplait yogurt. I am so disappointed and can't believe how much I was charged for what felt like a motel.
The location was perfect. We were close to the heart of westwood and Beverly Hills. It was a cute hotel with nice, clean rooms. The stuff was super friendly and polite, always there to help. It was a great value for money place. I would definitely recommend it.
Great experience and centrally located.... Vanessa was extremely helpful to us, specifically my 4yr old daughter, after we arrived from a long flight from Australia. Would stay again!
