Pros:

It’s priced low for a reason. Zero accessibility for anyone who cant climb stairs, rooms dirty.
Pros:

Nothing went well. The advertisement and pictures of how this location was presented and what was actually real, was night and day. Very misleading.

Cons:

I wasnt able to cancel and get a refund - that was disappointing, but part of the policy. The location of our room was on 2nd floor which is actually the 4th floor which is a series of long raised sidewalks then a series of stair cases in 90F+ temperatures with no help offered. Dragging our luggage up 4 flights of stairs was bad enough. The room had a weak A/C, and the windows had no screens in the bathroom. We could hear the people next door coughing and sneezing, and one woman was singing in her room next door. Felt like she was sitting next to me. The overall experience was very misleading. I immediately booked a room at the Hilton down the street, and dragged my luggage there. We didn’t stay one night. It was not what was advertised. Very very disappointing. The price maybe low, but we stayed at 2 other lodging residences in Ipoh and Penang that was fabulous.

Pros:

De locatie is ideaal ten opzichte van de "boulevard" en op 10 minuten loopafstand een grote shoppingmall met bijv. een supermarkt, maar ook een H&M. Ook op diezelfde loopafstand het Borneo Museum (aanrader!). De 2 persoonskamers aan het zwembad zijn meest ideaal wat ons betreft: eigen zitje voor de deur en geen appartementen/ kamers boven je. Dus ook rustig qua geluid. De kamers zijn best schoon; maar je moet niet te ver omhoog kijken dan ligt er nogal wat stof op bijv. de airco e.d. Maar: het is een fantastisch authentiek pand vol historie. En een fijn restaurant er bij liggend. Je loopt eigenlijk via de receptie, langs de ingang van het restaurant om de trap met beveiligde doorgang naar het hotel zelf te komen. Het ontbijtje is inderdaad basic (toast, jam, pindakaas, coconut jam, melk en cornflakes), maar prima voor start van de dag. Kun je zelf ook aanvullen met je eigen spullen. De koffie smaakte prima. Gaat inderdaad strak om 10u dicht, maar ach.. als je dat weet. Het zwembad was heerlijk en schoon. Geen toezicht; dus er werd bij ons na 19u nog wel gezwommen ondanks dat dit niet zou mogen ;)

I’d stay there again.
Pros:

It had character. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast simple and satisfying. Lots of good restaurants, coffee shops close. It is central and close to beautiful waterfront.

Cons:

Bar fridge would be good in room.

Posizione perfetta. Attaccato a un ristorante di ottima qualità. Piscina molto carina. Personale molto gentile.

Cons:

Colazione molto basica. Abbiamo preferito farla in bar esterni. Data la struttura si sente ogni rumore dall'esterno, da altre stanze e dalle scale.
