Olde worldly, lovely gardens.
Everything was wonderful
Staff all great. Food also very good.
The double bed is too small for two people to have a good nights sleep.
The small four poster room was pretty. Good conservation efforts.
The rooms are tired, still pretty but in need of a good deep redecorate. Some floorboard attention would also be good. Some cracked floor tiles in the bathroom and a mouldy/marked extractor fan. We also felt that breakfast should be included.
staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and the location was lovely - dinner was also great
Staff were so helpful and friendly. We loved the gardens and the space. Room and beds very comfortable and clean.
Everything was great
Fabulous location for Symonds Yat
Nothing
Really helpful friendly staff.
Great food.
Lovely building.
Proper pillows!!!
It was all great. The only drawback was that the plug in the bath leaked so the water was draining away.
Everything you wanted very good
Nothing
Beautiful building and garden, full of character.
Dog friendly,
Lots of outdoor seating.
Every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Car park & electric cat charging available.
Popular venue for locals.
The water pressure in the shower was great!
The small compact double room was quite dated. The lower price probably reflects that though.
No mention of vegan offerings on breakfast menu. Having to book breakfast the night before, so can’t decide in the morning.
Great location: you can have a nice walking and kayaking holiday without getting in your car once, thanks to the bus stop nearby. And the food and drink is excellent, as is the big garden to enjoy it in. If you get bored of the pub you live in, there are a couple more options not far away.
Rooms are very small and basic. Goes with the historic building, I guess. Aircon would have been nice.
The garden was absolutely stunning, huge space, kids play area and views across the fields. Close proximity to the Wye River and canoeing, and dead opposite the butterfly farm and mini golf so location was perfect. The interior of the hotel was a bit mismatched, in a half good way but also in need of some updates.
A few areas were run down, and the room itself was very small and not overly clean. It was fine but definitely needs some upgrades to it. It gets quite busy for food and drinks and unfortunately for our stay, they were slightly understaffed which meant a delay on drinks and service - however, the staff were all fantastic and very friendly.
het terras en de tuin
de kamer werd zeer warm (hittegolf), het raam kon niet open, er was slechts een fan.
de bedden waren zeer zacht
vooral heel engels ontbijt, dus beperkte keuze
