We had a great experience at Onomo, which is conveniently located right next to Mandela Square. Providing ample opportunities for shopping and dinning. The hotel itself was well kept and very clean. We did have trouble getting into our room but the staff were quick to provide us a new room.
Great hotel, good vibe — everything about the stay felt welcoming and pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was warm, and the overall experience made it a place I’d definitely come back to.
My stay at ONOMO Hotel Sandton was truly enjoyable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Sandton, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. Great value for money and a perfect choice for both business and leisure stays. Highly recommended!

Very clean and nice hotel
The only wrong is your cards are linked only to your floor when you have kids on the other floor you cannot go and check on them, I understand it might be movement control but it’s not it.

Great place to stay
Definitely not what it used to be. Staff were brilliant though and as always, location is fantastic. But the redesign is simply awful. Not just bad, awful. Flow of rooms, colour schemes that look cheap, wasted space in the bathrooms, TV's that didn't work (both rooms, so must be common) etc. What a wasted opportunity for Onomo, does their hotel team not use hotels?
It wasn’t bad at all.
Really good service as we arrived early in the morning 8 am and they prepared our room in about 30 mins. The hotel is small are the rooms but the location is perfect for the large mall and Mandela square with some great restaurants. The staff were excellent, I would recommend. It's also very safe.
The staff was nice and friendly, check-in and check-out was quick and easy.
Close to the mall
This was my second stay at Onomo Hotel Johannesburg in a year. The location remains a strong plus — excellent proximity to Sandton Mall, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. The front office staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated.
This time, I booked the Executive Room, expecting an upgrade from the Standard Room I had previously. While the room was indeed positioned higher and felt slightly more premium, the bedding was unfortunately too small for two adults, which affected comfort. Breakfast was just okay nothing particularly memorable.
Overall, while the location and service have their strengths, the comfort and value for the price didn’t meet my expectations this time. Will I be back? I’m not entirely sure.
Samsung heating system they use is garbage! Everything else about this place was great!
Nice small sized units BEAUTIFUL place only problem is non working hvacs in rooms! No heat slept in cold room first night, had to go to different rooms to fund working unit the next day blowing hot air, thankfully!
