Peacock Land

Unfortunately this place was not what the ad said.
We arrived to find the place not expecting to have guests. After a bit of convincing and showing the confirmation we got our room.
The room was nice and the surrounding area was beautiful, lots of birds, monkeys and the occasional mongoose on the premises. Lovely!
Unfortunately the staff didn’t speak English save the manager who was never on the premises but had to be contacted via telephone. The breakfast was ok.
The pool was not in service and we doubt the staff knows how to properly operate one. The pumps were not running, it was full of debris and the water was milky but they said we could go in since it had been chlorinated.
Don’t do your laundry there, despite guarantee that it would be done within 12h it was wet upon getting it back after +24h.

Unfortunately we had to park our tuk tuk more than 500 metres away from our room to utilise the free parking which made it very inconvenient to carry our surfboards and luggage. the wi fi didn't work and there was just a set menu each day so no choice of meals. we also had to share a dirty full kitchen refrigerator with our groceries and drinks. However it was peaceful and the swimming pool was nice

Positiv: Essen, Frühstück und Abendessen. Service Personal,Grosse Zimmer und Terrasse. Garten in der das Hotel steht. Schöner Strand.
Negativ: Defekte Zimmer Tür, könnte nur angelehnt werden und war auch nicht abschließbar. Loch in der Decke durch das bei Regen Wasser tropfte. Wasser kam auch von der Terrasse her unter der Tür durch. Wer wie wir keine extra Buchungen in der dazugehörenden Spa macht, muss damit rechnen vom Management ignoriert zu werden.
Fazit: Preis Leistung stimmt gerade noch.

Mosquito land! I don't know, maybe we got unlucky with the room we were given but the pictures showed a bright, modern and clean room. The room we got given was dark, dated, dinghy and dirty. We initially had to spend a fair bit of time removing all the mosquitoes which were already in the old and tatty net, fortunately the abundance of geckos and spiders in the room probably helped reduce their numbers further. Its strange that this hotel operates under at least two different names (see also Ashas Lagoon) and has so few reviews even though its quite clearly not new. The location is not on Tangalle beach like a lot are but a short walk away and next to the lagoon which means it doesn't really get the sea breeze. It did have an OK looking pool which no one seemed to use. The cost of breakfast was crazy expensive compared to other places on the seafront. Fortunately we only spent one night here but even for just £30 for a premium double it was poor value.

Fantastic location, beautiful pool and friendly staff. Grounds of the hotel/ apartments were stunning. We also received a free massage as part of our stay. Fantastic value for money

Location could not be better!! You could see different types of birds from your room, monkeys, cows, peacock etc Very good services. I had the best massage ever! 2minutes walking from the beach. The only thing none clean the room in our two night stay.

Klassiskt gammaldags indisk atmosfär trots att huset är nytt och ligger på Sri Lanka. Nära till havet. Nära till naturen. En bit från restauranger och barer. En alldelles enorm och god frukost!

Good ayurvedic treatments and fantastic food! Cool place!

Very good hotel with great location (3 minutes from the beach) and friendly staff. Very helpful manager, who can solve any problem and help to organise your free time.
