Superb historical building right in old Ahmedabad
Perfect staff - many thanks to Mr. Deepak for gis valuable help
Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre in einem charmanten Haus. Gute Lage.
It is a good concept
Bedding is not comfortable at all. Location is hard to find, stairs are very steep, hard for elderly or people with knee issues. Overall not a very good value for money
Just amazing place to stay in a quiet neighborhood
I liked the quirkiness of this property. It was my second stay here. Stayed last year because of the guidebook reference. Came back this year as it fitted my parameters for Ahmedabad, balcony and space. It is quietish. Good bathroom.
The lack of attention to detail. It is an expensive stay , yet it provides the bare minimum. Kettle, no cups or tea/coffee etc. No fridge. Needs a good dusting, particularly the chairs in the upper library area and the electrical switches need a wipe over. Staff seem only to be around for check in/check out and breakfast. No timings are shown for breakfast hours.
Beautiful typical Haveli located in the heart of old Ahmedabad.
Very clean, charming, tiny stairs to rich the bedrooms. No elevator.
The staff is really nice.
The place around is really poor.
Bellissima atmosfera. Ottimo lo staff in loco, molto disponibile e intelligente. Gentile
Absolutely charming and such a great location
I had a balcony and loved sitting there looking out over the pol
It was fine for me, but if you have problems with stairs you should be prepared for extremely steep stairs

Staff was extremely kind and helpful, the structure in the old city centre of Ahmadabad was fascinating and charmful, the interior environment clean and providing all that is needed. Nice old fashioned atmosphere. Would surely return to stay at French Haveli if again in town.
Fantastic location, in the heart of the old city of Ahmedabad, but tucked away down a car-free lane, so lovely and quiet. The whole place had a ton of quirky character. Breakfasts were delicious. We had a very comfortable stay, and loved having a huge room and private terrace.
The whole place felt as though it needed a bit of a spruce up - furnishings were a bit grubby. Our aircon didn't work. Staff were lovely, but no one spoke much English, and although I speak a little Gujarati, as most of the clients are from overseas or South India, it would be good to have a more fluent English speaker around. Some of the rooms have access via extremely steep steps, more like a ladder really, which was fine for us, but differently abled travellers need to take this into account.
I felt it was a little overpriced.
