The hosts were not responsive. The AC was not working and no one was responding to us. They wefe ignorant throughout our stay.

The food was good and friendly staff Malee and her family were good hosts and very accommodating.

Cons:

The garden has not been maintained, we suggest tea, coffee and water to be provided complimentary, better choice of food in the menu. Staff wasn't updated that we had requested breakfast till we told them.

Great central location with spacious rooms
Pros:

Villa Hiriketiya is perfectly located right in the center, within walking distance of everything, which made getting around super easy. The bedrooms are large and spacious, and the pool area is really nice overall.

Cons:

A few small points to improve: the pool could use a bit more regular maintenance and vacuuming, and unfortunately, treatment was added in the morning so we couldn’t use it during most of our stay. It can also be a bit noisy since it’s on the main road.

The bed was very soft, which might not suit everyone.

Overall, a great stay mainly thanks to the unbeatable location and spacious setup.

Great location, did what we needed
Pros:

Great location, 2 minute walk from the beach front. Room was decent size and clean. Staff very helpful and helped us fix a shoe. We didn’t spend very much time time there as there is so much to do in hirketya, but a great base

Cons:

The pool area wasn’t as nice as other places we had stayed in Sri Lanka

The perfect Hiriketiya base.
Pros:

We stayed four nights at Hiriketiya Villa and loved it.
The room was large and clean (and cleaned during our stay) and the shower was good and hot.
The gardens and pool are well looked after.
There are only four rooms so it feels really quiet even though you are in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Hiriketiya.
There is a great roti hut a couple of steps to the right as you leave and the beach is approximately a thirty second walk.
We didn't use a tuktuk or any transport the whole time we stayed in Hiri, all restaurants are walking distance.
You can have breakfast if you wish and they have a few soft drinks and water available if you need.
The people are kind and generous. Always around but never in your face.
We'd definitely stay again.

Cons:

Two or three tiny things that I think would improve the guest experience (but this is me being really picky!!)
1 ) A mirror in the main room rather than just the bathroom - particulary as there were four of us getting ready at the same time/
2 ) Net curtains so that we could be in the room but have the dark drapes open for some natural light.
3 ) A small kettle/fridge station for keeping water cool/having a hot drink when you want.

Localização excelente (a 2 minutos a pé da praia), o quarto era muito espaçoso e a piscina era muito boa.

Por estar localizado na rua principal de acesso às praias ouve-se com frequência o ruído do trânsito.

Cons:

All in all disappointing considering the price range. Appears worn down (pool, garden, shower etc. A/C noisy as an old diesel engine and only full power cooling or heat. The breakfast was prepaid non-refundable and definitely not worth paying for. Minimal breakfast without variation topped up with finding pieces of a plastic bag in the egg on the last day.
