Great location, did what we needed
Pros:

Great location, 2 minute walk from the beach front. Room was decent size and clean. Staff very helpful and helped us fix a shoe. We didn’t spend very much time time there as there is so much to do in hirketya, but a great base

Cons:

The pool area wasn’t as nice as other places we had stayed in Sri Lanka

The perfect Hiriketiya base.
Pros:

We stayed four nights at Hiriketiya Villa and loved it.
The room was large and clean (and cleaned during our stay) and the shower was good and hot.
The gardens and pool are well looked after.
There are only four rooms so it feels really quiet even though you are in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Hiriketiya.
There is a great roti hut a couple of steps to the right as you leave and the beach is approximately a thirty second walk.
We didn't use a tuktuk or any transport the whole time we stayed in Hiri, all restaurants are walking distance.
You can have breakfast if you wish and they have a few soft drinks and water available if you need.
The people are kind and generous. Always around but never in your face.
We'd definitely stay again.

Cons:

Two or three tiny things that I think would improve the guest experience (but this is me being really picky!!)
1 ) A mirror in the main room rather than just the bathroom - particulary as there were four of us getting ready at the same time/
2 ) Net curtains so that we could be in the room but have the dark drapes open for some natural light.
3 ) A small kettle/fridge station for keeping water cool/having a hot drink when you want.

Pros:

The swimming pool was a lovely luxury
Room was spacious and clean
Staff helpful with providing water, show us how shower worked.
Offered breakfast which was nice

Localização excelente (a 2 minutos a pé da praia), o quarto era muito espaçoso e a piscina era muito boa.

Cons:

Por estar localizado na rua principal de acesso às praias ouve-se com frequência o ruído do trânsito.

Cons:

All in all disappointing considering the price range. Appears worn down (pool, garden, shower etc. A/C noisy as an old diesel engine and only full power cooling or heat. The breakfast was prepaid non-refundable and definitely not worth paying for. Minimal breakfast without variation topped up with finding pieces of a plastic bag in the egg on the last day.

Ok play to stay, best feature is the location
Pros:

Good location with close proximity to nice cafes and restaurants, and 3 min to the beach. The room was big and felt clean, however we experienced cockroaches entering the room which was unpleasant. There is no curb in the shower, meaning the entire bathroom floor is wet after a shower. Staff speak little English and kept their distance for most part. It’s an ok place to stay for a few days, but not sure we’d come back if visiting Hiriketiya again.

Nice getaway location
Pros:

Walking distance to the beach. We also enjoyed the pool at the accommodation. It’s also a small villa either roughly 4 rooms, so it’s quite quiet.

Ett fräscht och fint boende centralt i Hiriketiya som passar utmärkt för en familj på 4 personer.
Pros:

Centralt boende nära till allt, pool, stort o rymligt rum och sköna sängar. Väldigt trevlig personal.

Cons:

Att det ibland var lite för mycket ljud sent på kvällen från barerna på helgerna.
