“Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay at Les Maisons de Léa.
First, the photos on the website are misleading. They create the impression that the rooms are located close to the main building, but in reality our room was much farther away, and we had to walk quite a distance to reach reception and the main facilities.
The biggest issue was that the heating in our room was not working. At night the temperature in Normandy dropped to around 9–10°C, and the room was extremely cold. We informed reception immediately. We were told to adjust the thermostat and wait. We set it to the maximum and went out for dinner, hoping the problem would be fixed.
When we returned later in the evening, the room was still freezing. We had to walk back to reception again, which was not nearby. The staff member told us there was nothing he could do. We asked for a portable heater, but were told none were available. We also asked for extra blankets and were given only one.
The bathroom was so cold that it was uncomfortable even to take a shower, and we slept very poorly because of the temperature.
What was especially disappointing was the lack of empathy the next morning. When we explained the situation again, we received no apology, no concern, and no gesture to compensate for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.”
This hotel comes highly recommended for a stay in Honfleur. It is very central, the photos on Booking.com look great, especially the rooms. It was the last day of our holiday and we thought that we would finish in style . The room was expensive at €190 and that was the cheapest room on the site.
Getting there was difficult as the centre of Honfleur has been closed for a while due to a dangerous building, unfortunately there was no warning of this from the hotel.
We were very impressed by a lovely receptionist called Arthur who, after showing us to our room, walked back with us to our car to show us where to park.
Our room was to put it kindly, just awful. No bigger than a bend in the corridor, painted an awful shade of pink. Everything in that room is old, nothing has been updated since the eighties. Loud swirly carpet, scuffed paint work everywhere, furniture is cheap stripped pine also scuffed. Bathroom is a disaster, a cupboard really, that again has not been updated for decades.
Bed was comfortable, shower was hot.
Dinner was taken in the hotel restaurant, the Tourbillon, the menu looked interesting but again very disappointing. Each plate of food played with about 5 or 6 different flavours which means you need to be a really good chef to pull this off, but unfortunately they didn't. My main course was fish with cauliflower and a wine sauce, so everything was white on the plate, cauliflower was simply steamed, not much flavour and I had a sweetcorn puree under the fish which was so sweet it was like eating fish on custard! No acidity, no texture, everything mushy and soft. Everything was way more complicated that it needed to be, 2 or 3 well-balanced flavours would have been better.
Breakfast was pretty ordinary, coffee was ok, croissants were not good, the bread ordinary, in a town were there are some great bakeries.
The hotel and the restaurant are trading on a grand past, but it's quite obvious that no money has gone into it for quite a while.
Goede locatie, midden in het stadje. Erg rustig want er is nauwelijks of geen verkeer. Comfortabel bed en goed linnen.
Schoonmaak en verzorging kan veel beter. Sporen van een omgevallen kopje koffie op de kast horen niet. En zo waren er nog wel wat dingen. Na de schoonmaak bleek het toiletpapier niet aangevuld. Verder is het meubilair nogal gedateerd.

La chambre était très agréable et spacieuse avec une jolie vue sur la place. Elle était bien insonorisée et calme. Les produits mis à disposition dans les salles de bain de qualité. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux. Le service du personnel souriant et sympathique.
L'armoire de rangement de la chambre est trop étroite. De plus elle est occupée par une planche à repasser qui ne permet pas de suspendre beaucoup de vêtements.

Das Personal war extrem engagiert. Die Rezeptionistin hat mir in einer schwierigen Situation mit viel Engagement und Zeitaufwand geholfen.
Zimmer sehr eng. Reinigung des Zummers wrsr am späten Nachmittag.
Chambre spacieuse avec 2 salles de bain et 2 toilettes. Très propre, super bien placée.
Personnel au soin et agréable. Petit déjeuner au top! Bref super séjour!
Il manquait juste un petit frigo. Mais sinon tout était parfait.
La disponibilité du personnel, l emplacement en plein centre historique, le cadre, la chambre, tout était très bien. Vraiment bien apprécié ce moment.
Vraiment pour dire quelque chose, le parking qui n est pas facile d accès pour un gros véhicule (petite impasse le long du boulevard).
L emplacement
L hôtel est totalement vétuste.
Les photos sur site sont totalement mensongères. Avions réservé une suite vue Église indigne d un 4 étoile. La chambre n’était pas prête à notre arrivée à 17:30, puis non conforme à la réservation.
Un état de vétusté général déplorable (moquette sale, joints de Sdb noirs, rideaux de fenêtre taché, mobilier vétuste, sommier déchiré et non recouvert etc ).
L’horaire du petit déjeuner n’a pour finir pas été respecté et les tasses étaient piquées de café d’usure.

In 4 étoiles mais dans les faits , ok pour un trois étoiles . Certainement pas un 4 étoiles .
Sèche cheveux défectueux, signalez mais pas changé . Pas de rampe d accès dans la salle du déjeuner sur deux niveaux donc désolé pour les PMR .Peintures de la chambre dans son jus ..( coup et autres ).Radisson nous habitué à des 4 étoiles donc nous pouvons comparer….
Great location in the center of town. Right next to the church and harbor. There was a breakfast buffet with limited but tasty selections.
There was parking but it was offsite. It’s about a 5 min walk up some stairs to the lot. Many of the streets in the area were closed due to construction making it inconvenient to cross to the other side. There was no a/c in the family room upstairs. That might be standard for hotels in Normandy but it was hot when we went.
