Hôtel Les Volets Rouges - Cassis

Hatten ein kleines Zimmer, in dem man zu zweit schon an seine Grenzen kam. Sehr kleines Bad. Verständigung mit Rezeption schwierig. Frische Handtücher nur wenn man extra welche wünscht, und man dann leider doch nicht bekommt. Betten unbequem und durchgelegen. Freundlichkeit des Personals, durwachsen. Nachts schwer zu finden, Hoteleinfahrt kaum zu sehen.

Great location with free onsite parking. Breakfast provided but for a fee. Would suggest making this included since there was nothing within walking distance. Rooms clean with nice patio and accessible to hiking trail to Calanques. Staff helpful.

Très chouette hôtel. On est parti en couple avec notre jeune chienne. Prévoir ce qu’il faut pour l’animal.
Petit bémol sur le petit dej, 12€ pour que du sucré, il manque des œufs, du bacon ou autre pour être au top.

Well the location is really bad. You are far away from everything and the is a highway just outside the window. It doesn't look like the pictures. There was no fridge at the room and it wasn't possible to get cold drinking water. The room was okay.

Small rooms but nice and clean! We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel intimiste. Comme si nous logions dans des petites cabanes. Vraiment tres agreable d'avoir des chambres comme des petits studios sans etre dans un couloir en enfilade.
Vraiment une chouette nuit ! Nous reviendrons

Location near the Calanques was great as the hike literally starts in the backyard. As it’s not directly in Cassis itself, it’s an easy 5min drive into the town. Simple and clean room with a thoughtful layout, the AC was amazing during those hot days. Staff don’t particularly speak English, but super helpful and you can make out the tips and tricks he was giving us for the hike. Would recommend this place if you intend to hike; the calanques are definitely worth it!

Peaceful location, great breakfast, nicely renovated accomodation

Lovely and peaceful place with a garden. Staff, specifically Ceb was wonderful. Very caring, considerate and accommodating under a very difficult circumstance.

Beautiful place in the middle of a national park

This is a nice comfortable place. It is away from town on a windy road.

My advice is to be very specific on the accommodations you want. My friend and I booked a room with 2 beds and the hotel assumed 2 people would only need 1 bed, so they didn’t even put sheets on the other bed. I was told I should have added it to the comment section of the online reservation. Housekeeping had already departed by check-in time, so there was no remedy, except to share the bed. I have never seen a second bed in a hotel room left unmade.

Trotz teurer Unterkunft, Zimmer in Richtung Hauptstrasse. Ganze Nacht sporadischer Verkehr, und dies in einem Naturschutzgebiet. Preis im Vergleich mit viel besseren Zimmern sehr hoch. Zusatzkosten im Vergleich zu andern Hotels sehr hoch (z.B. Hund). Das Gefühl der Abzockerei.

Cute place with a lot of charm. There are few things to keep in mind when booking, which we probably missed or misunderstood. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, off national road, with absolutely nothing but nature surrounding the area. The town of Cassis is 10-15 mins drive away.
Reception has limited hours and they close mid day, meaning no access at all to the lobby or any human for service.
We were in the room one of the days when housekeeping did they rounds. They did not knock on our door to ask if we want service. They just left a note on the door that they could not service our room because we were there. And we had to make do with dirty towels and ration our toilet paper till next day.
Other than that, very cute place, more like a pit stop. Tiny rooms but charming. Everyone is very nice and pleasant and the breakfast is delicious. Dinner is outstanding, but not served every night. Sundays and Mondays you need to drive into town for dinner.
