Good location, room was spacious and clean.
Room was not warm on arrival. Staff said the heating had come on shortly before. At this time of year with a forecast of snow it should be put on in plenty of time.
The price was high for the facilities on offer. The check in process was rushed, and I had to make my breakfast choices there and then for the following day. However when it actually came to the breakfast next day my choices (porridge and scrambled eggs) arrived almost simultaneously at the table, which was annoying as I didn’t want either of them to get cold.
On departure no one asked how my stay had been.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived we needed to grab some food and head into Edinburgh so the lady who runs the hotel recommended the Chinese takeaway and put some plates out for us in the dining room. (The takeaway was excellent, nicest tofu dish I've ever had from a takeaway.) The room was great, really big and well stocked with drinks and biscuits. Good breakfast buffet with cooked and continental options, plus top quality coffee. Biggar is a charming little town with lots of nice independent shops. I'd definitely return to Kirkstyle Hotel to explore the area more and to use as a base for going into Edinburgh.
There's no dedicated parking area but you can park on the road. Some spaces are limited to two hours, so the lady in the hotel advised us where to park.

We stayed in The Albion Suite which was perfect for my wife and I and our grown up daughter. We used the hotel as a stop over before continuing to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo. It was perfect for this as the location is superb. The Full Scottish Breakfast was brilliant too and set us up perfectly for the day.
Excellent location to attend a wedding at Cornhill castle. Staff were really kind and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and had great facilities.
